What kind of vehicle does carnival use for airport transfers I’ve never taken one before.

Admittedly it's been a few years for us but they always used buses when we used their transfer service. Carnival contracts with local companies in the embarkation cities for that.

Coach buses, the type you generally see on good sized private tour groups.

 

Edit: as someone mentioned, the size may depend on the number of Carnival passengers that purchased transfers in the embarkation city. We've never been on anything smaller than a tour bus.

Transfers are operated by independent contractors. The type of vehicle will depend on the number of booking received.

Full-size motor coach bus, and sometimes smaller shuttle buses.

take Uber or Lyft, it will half the price and you do not have to wait for them to fill the bus
