Icelandic Krona currency conversion to Australian Dollar

Hi all

Am I correct in thinking that if a price is displayed - for instance as 69.000 ISK.

 

That when I enter this into a currency convertor that I enter this in as 69900 ISK which returns an approximate conversion of $836.35 aud?

 

I have seen a note on one of the currency convertors that 1000 ISK = approx. $12 Australia. So is 69.000 how we would write 69,000 so sixty nine thousand, not sixty nine ?

Correct. 1000 ISK is 12 AUD - hense 69.000 ISK is 828 AUD.. Be Award that we do use . as thousand separator rather than ,

I agree with Hallasm. The Nordic countries (and most Europeans countries) uses , (decimal comma) as a decimal separator.

Dots should not be used at all to avoid confusion. If you really need a thousand separator, use ' (Apostrophe) instead-
