Downgrade

We are before final payment. Not new to cruising but this is our first ncl. At the time of booking it was only $20 more pp to book a mini suite..so I did. If I could now downgrade to a balcony we would save $100 pp as the balconys have dropped in price. The mini suites have gone up $200 pp. Is there a huge difference in balcony and mini suite cabins?

We had a mini suite on the Gem. Slightly roomier, bathroom and on deck 11 which gave a larger overhang on the balcony to protect from rain. But that's about it. I'd look at the location of the other room. What's above or below it. Maybe they're left because they aren't desirable locations.
