YOU seem to want a cruise to a tropical beach (Caribbean) leaving out of the NE United States.... Don't worry about what other people like...or dislike. You have to do what will make YOU happy. Go where YOU want to go, go to what makes YOU happy...not what makes ME (or anyone else) happy.
Rare POA1 Posted August 17, 2017 #17 Share Posted August 17, 2017 What were the other ports along the cruise, and how were they??? It was on Holland America's Maasdam in 2012. I'm probably missing something because I'm doing this from memory, but it was a 14-day round-trip from Fort Lauderdale. St. Thomas, St. Maarten, St. Barts, Grenada, Barbados, Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire & Antigua. Also, HAL's private island, Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas. I was a really nice itinerary. The Maasdam is only a 1,200 passenger ship. The itinerary was sold as either 14 or 24 days, so some lucky people got to do an additional 10 day Caribbean segment after the return to Port Everglades. I was just looking for recommendations of warm tropical places to visit. We went to Bermuda in May and LOVED it but i want to experience something new.
