OCBon Posted August 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2017 Is there a policy on plug adapters to be used in staterooms? Does the policy differ between cruise lines? Thank you.
bUU Posted August 23, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 23, 2017 I hope not. I'm bringing two Euro-to-USA plug adapters.

Plug adapters, if they are strictly plug adapters (changing from one style of outlet to another, i.e. from European type C/F (two round pins) to US type B (15 amp two flat pin and round ground pin)), then no, there is no policy that I'm aware of for any cruise line, and all are allowed. Just remember that the European outlets are 220v and unless your appliance or electronics are dual voltage, you would need a voltage converter as well. easyboy Posted August 23, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 23, 2017 I have always brought my universal plug adapter whenever I travel/cruise outside the US. Have always been useful. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare Keith1010 Posted August 23, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 23, 2017 No policy. You can use them. Very basic device. Keith
SRF Posted August 23, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 23, 2017 Most consumer electronics (laptop power supplies, cell phone and camera chargers, etc) are dual voltage. Actually, most are rated for any voltage from 100 - 240 volts. I now use this - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DJNR9LM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Plug adapter for US, Euro, UK, and Aussie plugs/outlets. PLUS, 2x USB charging ports. Works well, and is fine with 110 or 220 input voltage. DO NOT use your US hair dryer in 220 volt system, unless it is clearly dual voltage. You WILL fry it.
