Ideal no. of vacation days per year?

Now retired so I guess it is all vacation. We generally do two longer trips a year both of which are typically 8-12 weeks induration. Plus some last minute one week-ten day getaways depending on what last minute offers come up.

 

Plus the usual trip, auto and air, to visit relatives, weddings, funerals, etc.

Dear experts,

1) What in your estimate is the ideal number of vacation days per year to enjoy life to the fullest without compromising on your job/business/career?

2) What percentage of these holidays should be on a cruise?:cool:

 

a) 365

 

b) maybe 20% at most on a cruise

My opinion is

1) Holiday 2-3 times a year for 3 months in all

2) 50% on a cruise

For years I have had 6 weeks and I use every day of it. How much cruising? I would say no more than half. I like to just sit and home and do nothing. Also like to visit family or have them visit me.
