Grand Turk?

Booked on the 5 day Bahamas on the Elation for Dec 18/06 going to Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay, Nassau. Has anybody been to Grand Turk and what did you do. Which Port of Call thread would it fall under?

Grand Turk is a new port.

Grand Turk is really a new port of call for anyone. They are just now building the pier. Look for reviews of the Turks and Caicos Islands. I know that some of the usual travel guides have sections on these islands.

Thanks for posting the ?. We're sailing the elation in sept. which hits the new port of the turks. from memory, the sailings don't start until spring, so we'll have to wait unil then,, unless there are some cruisers here which have done theland vacay. Someone I work with had done the land vacay, said the beaches are beautiful, transportation connecting the islands spotty, minimal shopping. Purely a beach lovers stop, but this was 2 years ago and you know that things will change as the ships pull in!
