Yes there is a bug in the system that they are working on now. Some cruises show the discount, others don't.

molly361 Posted September 26, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 26, 2017 You have to enter your C and A number now where it asks if you qualify for any special rates- the site no longer gives the balcony discount just by logging in like it used to. loudbmw Posted September 26, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 26, 2017 I had the same problem doing a NextCruise booking on the the Allure this past Sunday (I wanted the on board credit for booking on board). I could combine the C&A Balcony Discount and the Friends and Family promotion on my laptop, but the NextCruise desk could not. They had to message Miami to get it straightened out. njmomof2 Posted September 26, 2017 #7 Share Posted September 26, 2017 I was always told that you could not combine the F&F with C&A balcony discount. Perhaps that has changed.

CruisesOnMyMind Posted September 26, 2017 #13 Share Posted September 26, 2017 I just booked f&f trip and was told it does not qualify for balcony discount? Has anyone booked and gotten it? Yes I got it this morning. I had made the reservation on the 22nd and there was no discount. I did not question it as the pricing was so good to start with. Today I noticed that it was cominable with the the balcony discount so I did some checking. I noticed some cruises showed it and others did not. This was with my C&A number inserted. I called and was told they could not see the discount for my particular sailing. They put me through resolutions who then told me it was a glitch and they were in the process of fixing it now. Since I had paid in full they are reimbursing my credit card.
Ken at the beach Posted September 26, 2017 #14 Share Posted September 26, 2017 I was always told that you could not combine the F&F with C&A balcony discount. Perhaps that has changed. When the friends and family was restricted to travel agents it was non combinable. With this new promo that they are offering to everyone and calling it the same as the other program they are allowing it to be combined.

Did and no results. However, logged out and signed in again and lo and behold the balcony discount appears, but an unusual $226 rather than the normal $250 for D+ tier member. Usually the BD is prorated if 30/50/60% off is the promo, but this is simply a lower rate offered.

Sorry, someone reminded me about the 6 month rule which reduces the discount by $25, but doesn't explain the $226 discount.

molly361 Posted September 26, 2017 #21 Share Posted September 26, 2017 I don't know why it's $226 instead of $225. I have found the same thing when the offer is OBC it's always $26 instead of $
mgmigs Posted September 26, 2017 #22 Share Posted September 26, 2017 It is absolutely impossible to understand thier promos. I had a casino promo that was 50% off second passenger, $100 obc plus $100 casino credit, "combinable with all other offers." They told me I can't get the 50% off or the $100 obc bc of the special weekend only sale I got. They did give me $100 casino credit only!!!!! They said they understand it's not combinable even though the terms and conditions clearly state it is!!!!!
RoyalC Posted September 26, 2017 #23 Share Posted September 26, 2017 C&A discount shows up online. Had a TA tell me last night it did not count toward GTY rooms- they were wrong. Just wish I had a nextcruise cert but I usually book inside rooms and get a credit from a TA anyway. Good sale though
GMoney Posted September 26, 2017 #24 Share Posted September 26, 2017 I really appreciate this thread and the flyer. RCCL loves to make the process as difficult and opaque as possible. I book solo using by 150% DP benefit. I first had to fight them to allow me to book the F&F X GTY rate as a solo. I then had to fight them to apply the balcony discount. I ultimately got both.
