45 Days Past on Final Payment But Still Have Reservation - Equinox

I had booked a Equinox cruise for this fall way back last year.

 

My final payment date was mid August, I didn't make the payment and figured X cancelled my cruise.

 

Well low and behold Celebrity rep called me today looking for the balance.

 

I still may take this cruise.....:D

Very good for you buddy... it would be my fortune that our reservation would be canceled one (1) minute after mid-night!

 

Enjoy what ever you decide... do you get your deposit back do you think or able to transfer to another sailing if that is your choice available?

I've typically found that most cruise lines give you a few days -- or even longer -- of "grace period" after final payment is due. Let's face it, some folks are away from their computers or have other issues that cause them to miss the payment date. And most of us don't have the final payment date circled on our calendars.

 

The above said, if you miss the date, you are taking the chance that your reservation will be canceled as the email threatens.

So I'm assuming you didn't receive a refund for your deposit and intended to forfeit it??? Why on earth would you. If you don't want to make your final payment you could simply call to cancel and get a refund.

I got billed for two late January 2018 Ft Lauderdale cruises final payment this week by an online TA that weren't due until November

We were on this ABC cruise with you but had to cancel.

Just looked at what it would cost to rebook :eek::eek:!

 

Go Best is $940.00 per person higher for the same 1A!

Hopefully the “rep” didn’t give you a account or link to sent it to. X’s website is a mess and I am amazed that it hasn’t been hacked.
