Capt_BJ Posted September 29, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 29, 2017 Florida Today, 9/29 Cruise parking fees rising Port Canaveral commissioners on Thursday unanimously approved a $1-a-day increase in parking fees at the port's cruise terminals, effective Nov. 1. The price for regular-sized vehicles will be $17 a day, up from the current $16 a day. Vehicles longer than 20 feet, such as buses or campers, will be charged an "oversized fee" for parking of $29 a day, up from the current $28 a day. The port considers a "day" as each day of the week, rather than a 24-hour period.
bUU Posted September 29, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 29, 2017 I wonder if we can save the extra $8 by prepaying. :) This post may have been entered by voice recognition. Please excuse any typographical errors.
Capt_BJ Posted September 29, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted September 29, 2017 you can save a bunch more by using an off site Park n cruise and Park Port Canaveral are a 5 minute free shuttle away and $9 a day with advance pay (there are others local but these are the only two I'll recommend)
zdcatc12 Posted September 29, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 29, 2017 Florida Today, 9/29Cruise parking fees rising The port considers a "day" as each day of the week, rather than a 24-hour period. Which is a rip-off. If your cruise is a 3 night, you pay for 4 days, etc. So with the CCL and RCCL 3 and 4 night cruises, the port actually gets nine days of fees. I have never heard of anywhere else charging like they do.
rkacruiser Posted September 30, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 30, 2017 Disappointing news, particularly with the discontinuance of the discount coupons once offered at certain hotels. Nonetheless, Port Canaveral is a pleasant and easy port from which to cruise.
