TennesseeTater Posted October 3, 2017 #26 Share Posted October 3, 2017 We had the new menu on the Vista a couple weeks ago. We were very disappointed. The entrees we would have ordered are both off the menu. I had the lamb and it was ok...I wouldn't order it again. cruzinlisa Posted October 3, 2017 #27 Share Posted October 3, 2017 Not too impressive. I found a couple of appetizers I would like but the entrees and desserts were lacking. Without steak I am not sure I could drag DH even if it were no extra cost. Oh well.
spiritkat090909 Posted October 3, 2017 #28 Share Posted October 3, 2017 I can't wait to try the meringue dessert! Sounds delish to me. But, I really wasn't impressed with this restaurant at lunch and dinner wasn't worth paying for before the changes. Probably still not...but the casino usually gives us a freebie. And it is good for FREE!

navybaby1113 Posted October 4, 2017 #30 Share Posted October 4, 2017 We have a November reservation, but I think we're going to cancel. I was really excited to try the carbonara.
taram999 Posted October 4, 2017 #31 Share Posted October 4, 2017 I think the menu looks great and am excited.to wat there again next week. I agree with the dessert, but that's no biggie. We ate there in March on the Sunshine and loved it for both lunch and dinner. Sent from my XT1254 using Forums mobile app

8esther8 Posted November 28, 2017 #34 Share Posted November 28, 2017 Agreed! Are you listening Carnival? Please bring back the carbonara, tiramisu and cannolis!
Baatman Posted November 28, 2017 #35 Share Posted November 28, 2017 No more cannolis or tiramisu either? Not sure I’m going to keep my reservation on the Magic in November with these changes. Sadly disappointed [emoji17] Sent from my iPhone using Forums No cannolis! Say it isn't so!
ABQrobin Posted November 28, 2017 #36 Share Posted November 28, 2017 I think the NEW menu sounds fantastic. More seafood, which is what I remember from my trip to Italy 30 yrs ago. The old menu sounded more like NY italian, not Italy italian. We'll be on the Breeze in Feb, so I am excited about the menu.... might have to eat there more than once. robin
E@syPe@zy Posted November 28, 2017 #37 Share Posted November 28, 2017 It "would" be helpful to see some photos of the new menu items. Did the lunch menu change also??
citizenfrank Posted November 28, 2017 #38 Share Posted November 28, 2017 I'm looking forward to giving it a whirl anyway ....though agree about the 'missing' items! What can I order in terms of numbers for each course? Thank you
jakeT Posted December 2, 2017 #39 Share Posted December 2, 2017 It looks like the old menu. The one from November 2016. I can’t tell what change.
jewliana Posted December 2, 2017 #40 Share Posted December 2, 2017 I was not thrilled with the new menu but didnt cancel our reservation a few weeks ago on the Vista. My husband and I actually enjoyed it more than we thought we would. They seem to really be going for presentation. That was the big change we saw. Everything was delicious. Still worth the small upcharge fee to have a special quiet experience.

evandbob Posted December 2, 2017 #42 Share Posted December 2, 2017 This Bronx born Italian had 2 dinners and 1 lunch at the Cucina, and the only satisfactory item I had was the antipasto. Chicken parm was like an oversized hockey puck and the pasta dish I had was covered in a very sweet sauce. I may be jaded since I had a Grandma who made pasta and breads from scratch and ate many meals on Arthur Ave., so take my criticisms in light of my heritage. I like my pasta and gravy, not sauce! But anyone who likes Olive Garden (I don't) may enjoy the Cucina. Specialty dining on the Horizon just opened for reservations, and I reserved at the Steakhouse, JiJi's and Tepanyaki, but certainly not the Cucina! AmBear Posted December 2, 2017 #44 Share Posted December 2, 2017 Just got off the Vista yesterday and they mentioned during the cooking demonstration that Cucina had a brand new menu. I had booked a reservation there prior to sailing just to say I tried it (never been there before), but I ended up canceling. We did go there for lunch, but I wasn't too impressed so neither of us felt the need to go back. Thanks for the menus, as long as they got the short ribs, we'll go a couple times each cruise!;p
