whatcruiseisnext Posted October 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2017 St Kitts has been substituted for St Martin on our Regal Princess cruise in a few weeks. Looking for recommendations for the best beach to go to. We haven’t visited St. Kitts in years so any help is appreciated. Thanks so much! lola2013 Posted October 5, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2017 I highly recommend Carambola Beach. It's just $4. per person taxi fare from the cruiseport. There is a resort there (the Carambola Beach Club!!!) where you can rent chairs and umbrellas. They have a wonderful restaurant on the property...but we usually walk down the beach to the Shipwreck Bar. I can't answer if they have snorkeling in case that is what you are looking for...just a beautiful stretch of beach to kick back and relax. Redwing55 Posted October 5, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 5, 2017 Might want to keep Nevis in mind. If you're just beaching it, Nevis has different and much calmer feel.

I was going to suggest this also, it is a nice ferry ride to a beautiful, mountainous and as you said, calm island.
pjrockman Posted October 5, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 5, 2017 We did not like the Carambola Beach Club. It was way too crowded and cramped. It also took a long time to be served at the bar. Also, we never went in the water because of the crowd. We stayed about 3 hours and left. Pros: convenient, cheap group taxi ride; easy to reserve a front row set of chairs on their website; nice changing room and bathroom facilities. Cons: way too crowded; long wait for bar service; front row of loungers became second and third row since folks that didn’t pay for chairs and an umbrella all crammed up front; and, tensions were running high along the beach since it was so crowded. We were going to eat there, but chose to go back in town and had a great time in town, including eating at a food truck in the Central Park . Hope that helps a bit. It was just our experience this past January. Maybe it was an off day. Paul Sent from my iPad using Forums[/url

Looking for recommendations for the best beach to go to. We haven’t visited St. Kitts in years so any help is appreciated. Thanks so much! Sent from my iPhone using Forums When we were in St Kitts earlier this year we did a fun tour with Laurna from A Taste of St Kitts. She's a Canadian who's relocated to St Kitts and she does this fun little walking tour of the city where you stop at a number of spots to taste the food of St Kitts. It was fun, and her business partner was this amazing local who knows so much about the Island and it's history. I wish I remembered his name, but I don't. Our first stop on the tour was as far out as we went but it was an easy walk out to The Palms Court Garden. It's a very small hotel with a quaint restaurant. If we were to go to St Kitts again I would definitely walk here for a late breakfast/early lunch and see about renting one of their loungers and spending the day there. Don't know if they do that. The pool is teeny tiny, but it's a beautiful location. My mom has fibromyalgia so I was worried about all the walking, but she was fine. It was a slow pace and we stopped at 4-5 places. The Tour itself was fun so if you wanted to try foods from St Kitts it was great. In the end, it was too much food. I could have split some things with my sister, but we tried it all. :)
