Rare aubreyc1988 Posted October 7, 2017 #26 Share Posted October 7, 2017 Do you know if you can upgrade to balcony from an ocean view cabin. Call the Casino Royale number. When I asked how much to upgrade on the Oasis from an inside to an oceanview, they said 100.00pp, but that may vary per sailing or offer. But it might be way less than you think
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted October 7, 2017 Author #27 Share Posted October 7, 2017 I heard you can upgrade for a small fee and if you don't choose one of the sailings they give you money off any sailing that you want to book, I believe we had 1k off any sailing or it could of been 2k I can't recall. Namelocg Posted October 8, 2017 #30 Share Posted October 8, 2017 Namelocg- Thats wonderful! So they do keep giving the offers as long as you meet the qualifications, this is what I am hoping for lol....Did the list of cruises offered go into 2018? If so, do you have the copy of that list, a member here was very nice to send me a copy of the list but it only went to March, 2018 so looking for the one that goes beyond March. I lived in Ft. Lauderdale for 32 years, now I am up in northern Florida area, still on east coast. :D Cruisegirl6, The list of free cruises was only for certain sailings during October and November of this year. I would have also booked one for October but a few days before I got the offer I committed to a consulting job and at $500 per day I couldn't say no. I try to work around my cruise schedule, not cruise around my work schedule. ;p
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted October 8, 2017 Author #31 Share Posted October 8, 2017 Bmac1- Would you happen to have a copy of the list of cruises, we aiming April-may cruise. Namelocg- I bet you cringed at the fact you couldn't go.....Carnival also called us up right after Irma giving us two choices for the week of October 3 only we had another trip already planned lol, it really bothered me to say no lol. gaylemh Posted October 8, 2017 #34 Share Posted October 8, 2017 Any discounts given, can it be combined with the balcony discount? All my $ off certificates were able to be used with my D+ discount. I would sometimes just book online using my D+, resident or senior rate, and then call the casino to apply to the cruise.
pandorasboxxxy Posted October 8, 2017 #35 Share Posted October 8, 2017 Wow! I hadn't found time to gamble the 2 cruises we have been on, but I'm wanting to maybe do a little on this cruise. I've been to several casinos on land and usually will spend 20 or 50 bucks and chalk it up to entertainment. Those of you that are finding success in invites, what games are you playing and what kind of wagers?
Arizona Cruz Chic Posted October 8, 2017 #36 Share Posted October 8, 2017 Anyone who cruised on the free cruise, did you get C&A points for that cruise? ***

RFerrington Posted October 8, 2017 #38 Share Posted October 8, 2017 Anyone who cruised on the free cruise, did you get C&A points for that cruise? *** The “rule”is, if you get a comp cruise and do not pay for any kind of upgrade, you do not receive C&A points. If you pay for an upgrade you get points. Having said that, there are many instances where I’ve heard of people getting their points even on a $0 comp cruise so YMMV. On a recent comp cruise we received on Grandeur (we took this comp cruise on Grandeur as well), we had been “given”an ocean view room, which we upgraded to one of the new “preferred”ocean view rooms (the ones with the floor to ceiling windows midship) but when we got to checkin, we had been upgraded to a Jr Suite. We received single points for that cruise. First time that’s ever happened to us (upgraded without knowing anything about it beforehand). It was a nice surprise. Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted October 8, 2017 Author #41 Share Posted October 8, 2017 Bmac1- Thats ok, thanks, do you recall seeing any for April or May, perhaps somebody will have it to post for me. RFerrington- When I booked the cruise they said we would get. points, how would I upgrade if I already have a balcony, its insane to pay for a suite and not get any of the perks for it as other cruise lines get. I guess I find out whether I receive points or not after I get back, if I don't I rather have a comp cruise than pay for the cruise and receive the points. Thats great you were upgraded to Jr. Suite but I gather that was because they didn't have any availability of the rooms you had upgraded to. Has anybody who received comp cruises found you were upgraded without knowing until you got to the pier? Now, if we receive a future cruise for a balcony, I would assume we could choose any of the sailings whether it is interior and Oceanview, am I correct?
