Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted October 10, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2017 Hello, A member here has given me the copy of cruises the casino is offering as a complimentary cruise, these are given to those on the last night of the cruise if they earned one in the casino during their cruise. It is now October, I know the list I have goes to March, 2018 but generally they update these lists and include cruise sailings for the next six months. Has anybody recently gotten off any ship within the past couple of weeks that received on of these? If so, would you PLEASE post it for me as I have family hounding me when we are going to book our next cruise lol. We are hoping there be some April and May sailings to choose from. Thank you! This post is a little bit confusing...... Your friend earned the certificate, but you want to see the list? How does the list apply to you if you did not earn it? There are a few things you should consider. 1. Each level of certificate, balcony, ocean view, interior has a different list of cruises ( my balcony list is always different than my friends that get the interior ones) 2. Theoretically you are supposed to book within 30 days of getting the certificate.(although there are many who have had different results) 3. Although I get comped cruise offers in my email all the time, The easiest thing to do is to call club royale, 1888 561 2234 give them your crown and anchor number and ask them if you have any offers. (they used to do it by your player number, but that is pretty much gone now as they use your c/a number pretty much for everything. ) The players program has changed a lot over the last year, some good changes and some not so great. They always take amazing care of me I have zero complaints and have not paid for a cruise in about three years, and I typically go 3 or 4 times per year, Just call them and ask them what they may have that applies to you. Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted October 10, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted October 10, 2017 I am sorry..... He always gets the complimentary cruise only most of the time we are booked on other vacations throughout the year, but on the Harmony this past May, I was not booked on any cruise for the remaining of the year (was planning on taking a last minute cruise between October thru first week of December) therefore, we were able to take the complimentary cruise on the Oasis on October 29th. I know he will get another one but I need to get hold of the most current list and hoping there be a cruise for April/May because this is the month our family cruises together....so if I can get hold of the newest list I can choose the cruise and family can book and when I get off my cruise I will book it also using the certificate they give my other half. I do know there are different lists, interior, Oceanview and balcony and heard there are some junior suite cruises also, he will minimum get another Oceanview, but should he get an interior I can upgrade to Oceanview or balcony but he generally always gets the balcony offer. Yes, we only have 30 days to book the cruise from the time we get off the ship. I hate to call them now as its like asking for something that he didn't qualify for yet, and I am embarrassed to ask now lol. I guess if nobody has any of these lists and yes, your talking about the exact one I am talking about, I guess I just have to wait until my last day of the cruise, but my family is driving me nuts, they want to book and have something to look forward to lol. Life is Good Cruising Posted October 11, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 11, 2017 My friend just received one today on Empress and the certificates still have the same sail dates, up until the end of March. I'm hoping too they'll update them within the next 2 weeks. If by chance your certificate still indicates the March dates, you can always call CR and ask them about April & May dates, you never know, you may get lucky :)
NewfieGuy1972 Posted October 11, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 11, 2017 The free balcony I earned on the allure 28 days ago, also only goes till March...and toward the end of the list most of the sailings are for only 4 or 5 nights, I’m going to opt to use the value of it ($1000) Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted October 11, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted October 11, 2017 Hi Linda! I hope that we get the newer one, but I get off on November 5th so maybe I have a better chance getting a newer one and if so, I let you know, I put out a post for you. I guess since your friend received the same list, were just now going to have to wait and see. Yes, true, we can call but I wonder, perhaps since April thru September is high season whether they have any of these cruises during these months, have you ever had one between April-August? Newfieguy1972- I also noticed on the current list most are shorter cruises....I rarely would go on a short cruise and also would choose the discount given for another future cruise. I agree! I would love to see Cuba but there is no way that both my other half and I go on such a tiny ship, afraid of rough seas and too much rocking. :o
NewfieGuy1972 Posted October 11, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 11, 2017 Airfare and the hotel b4/after is primarily the reason why I don't do the shorter cruises. Often (well besides the casino budget) the actual cruising portion of our vacation is the cheapest part ;)
mattpro Posted October 11, 2017 #8 Share Posted October 11, 2017 Regarding cruise certificates given by casino It has been my experience to call Casino Royale and tell them what cruise I have either booked or want to book and see what they can do for me. I give them my certificate numbers and they make adjustments to price based on the amount of credit given for that week. Since I book cruises when they first come out (end of April usually) I have about 16-20 cruises with confirmation numbers. When CR makes the price adjustment they use your current confirmation without canceling and re-booking a new cruise. I have been pleasantly surprised with the results. I'm hoping that there aren't too many VIPs on board or we'll experience the same problems I just experienced on Explorer. There were over 700 free Casino Royale VIP cruisers on board and the casino was so crowded you almost couldn't get in. I play Ultimate Texas Holdem and 3 card poker and some evenings the tables were full all night. There was a waiting list for each table but no one ever got up so unless you were there at opening, you couldn't play.
kandj05 Posted October 11, 2017 #10 Share Posted October 11, 2017 Approximately, how much does a person have to spend in the casino to get a free cruise? Sent from my SM-G900V using Forums mobile app
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted October 11, 2017 Author #11 Share Posted October 11, 2017 Sellingri- Which cruise did you go on last and when? My other half only plays slots, did you notice the slots to be a problem also as the tables were? I also play roulette but I am not the one who receives the offers. Have you tried the slots during that cruise, did you find they tighten the machines more on these sailings? Mattpro- I am afraid to call and ask now since we have a comp cruise coming up, hate to be on the blacklist for being a pain, but when I get back and if the list remains until only March, I will definitely take your advice and call. Honestly, I know my other half wins, he keeps showing me his tickets, but what I can tell you he plays only slots but plays at least 3 a hit and more at times. Unfortunately I'm not sure what are considered the specialty slots, most likely the ones that have themes (TV show/blockbuster movies etc). So you have to WAGER a meager $12,000 @ $5 per point machines or $24,000 at a $10 per point machine to get a free inside stateroom on a selected cruise! NewfieGuy1972 Posted October 11, 2017 #13 Share Posted October 11, 2017 Also your table play "translates" into points, but this is done by the casino host, I bet on average $100 + per hand and received about 1300 points just for my table play last cruise and I was playing a lot (Although a lot is subjective)! The certificates I've received in the past did not included the months of July or August as that's peak time to cruise and Royal has no problem filling cabins for those months. April, May, June and September cruise dates have been included on my prior certificates.
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted October 11, 2017 Author #16 Share Posted October 11, 2017 Hi Linda, I got my nerve up and called casino Royale, they said there is a delay in constructing the new list and they feel its going to take a long time until they get the next one. Truly disappointed, but I thought about one thing, I just use the 1k towards the Harmony for May 5th I guess. Just wanted you to know.

Okay, thanks for the update :) Most of the time I also just use the value of a certificate instead of waiting for new sailings to come out, this way I get the price and the room we want. At least now you have a date in which you can give to your friends and make your plans. IMO, I think you did the right thing by just booking now. NewfieGuy1972 Posted October 11, 2017 #19 Share Posted October 11, 2017 So do you have to accrue all these points on 1 sailing? Yes....and you have to use your certificate within 30 days of issue, regardless if you use it to choose from the list of cruises or if you use the cash equivalent! Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted October 11, 2017 Author #20 Share Posted October 11, 2017 Linda, yes! I will use the 1k and put it towards the Harmony on May 5th, now they can start booking and I bet they will do that tonight hahaha. I will just wait until we receive the certificate to book ours. Hope you started getting things ready for your trip!
