Car rental ? on Priceline

I have used Priceline for hotels but not for cars. What price do you put down? To get an idea of a price do you go to a car rental site for their daily rate and go lower than that on Priceline. We are looking for a van in California and also Orlando.

Exactly. In fact I always bid for a "standard" size vehicle. Most car rental companies do not offer a "standard" size vehicle so I've always ended up with a full size vehicle.

Research on both the car rental sites and the travel sites to see what the range of prices are then bid from there. Sometimes Priceline can't beat the car rentals companies lowest rate. Do your homework first. ;)
