Clarea Posted October 16, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2017 Assuming because you mention La Patisserie you might be referring to Anthem of the Seas. Lanyards are not required. Food at La Patisserie on Anthem is extra cost. Any other questions about Anthem are best directed to the dedicated RC forum: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=83 If you are not referring to Anthem, then it would help to mention the name of the ship. SRF Posted October 16, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 16, 2017 There is a whole thread on lanyards. I like having the option. Sometimes use them, sometimes not.
cb at sea Posted October 16, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 16, 2017 Hubby puts his key in his pocket. I put mine in my very small purse, along with my lipstick, tissues, comb, etc.... You don't need a lanyard!!! We enjoy the MDR for breakfast, as you are seated and served...so much nicer than the buffet, where your food gets cold while you're searching for syrup or jam...or waiting for someone in front of you decide what they want!! Can't help with the coffee...regular coffee is all I need!

cruzincurt Posted October 20, 2017 #8 Share Posted October 20, 2017 We used to punch a hole and use a lanyard. On the Harmony of the Seas you can't punch a hole as the card has an embedded RFID chip and an antenna that goes around the edge of the card. So at least on that ship we use a lanyard with a plastic sleeve. I use a lanyard but keep it in my pocket so it's easier to locate it when I need it. Jimnbigd Posted October 20, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 20, 2017 A lanyard is good for kids, and also for adults that use the casino and insert their card into the slot machine. I have walked away a couple of times and left my card in the slot machine. The casino has lanyards.
