Earliest time for luggage dropoff

Anyone know the earliest time you can drop off your luggage for Norwegian? I'm on the Pearl leaving on 2/11, which is the Sunday before Mardi Gras. I have to check out of my room at 11:00, which is also the start time for the parades. I was wondering if I could go to the port, drop off my luggage (not necessarily check-in yet), then head back to watch the parades. I would probably need to drop off my luggage by around 10 to give me time to get back, get a drink or two, and find a good spot to watch the Krewes go by

I think 10am would be fine. I usually get to the terminal between 10-10:30.

I have dropped it off as early as 9:30. You may most certainly drop your luggage and go back and watch the parade, unless it is too late to allow you to board 2 hours prior to departure.

Thanks for the responses!! The last parade starts at noon, so there will be plenty of time to get back to the ship.

I would go earlier than anyone says they have dropped off, and stand there till somebody is ready to take your bags. Then walk back to the parades.

 

OR - checkout and leave your bags there, then come back and get them later. Not sure which hotel and if you can walk from there to the ship and avoid parade routes.

Another thought is that your hotel will hold your bags for you until you are ready to pick them up pand take them to the ship. We do that all the time when we have late flights.
