I"d like to use OBC to buy bottled water on the ship..does anyone know the price..is there a gratuity charge?

Also..if I buy the Ultimate Beverage Package, does it include 2 litres of bottled water per day?

Thanks for any info..!

Last July on the Pearl in Alaska, the water package pricing on Day 1 as shown in the Freestyle Daily was 6 1-liter bottles for $15; 12 for $28; 24 for $45. From what I recall, individual purchases of a 1 liter bottle was around $5+ per. They do charge the standard 18% gratuity on top of these prices. In looking at the NCL pricing on there website today, the pricing is identical as it was on board in July. Bottled water is not included as part of the UBP. Last year, I prepaid for our water package. This year, I plan on using OBC.

Damn, that's highway robbery. I usually drink a minimum of 2L's a day. Are you allowed to bring the water on excursions then back on if you haven't finished it?

No. All water must be emptied from open bottles and all sealed bottles are confiscated and not returned.

What we do is bring a couple of empty plastic water bottles with us at embarkation, fill them either in buffet or our cabin's sink and use that. Also cabin steward will bring a pitcher of ice water each day if asked and the bottles can be filled from that. No charges for water that way. We simply thank the steward with an extra tip.

Current Aquafina prices to pre-purchase on Escape (scheduled to sail 1/13/2018):

6-1L bottles: $17.64 (roughly $2.50/bottle plus 18%)

12-1L bottles: $32.98 (roughly $2.33/bottle plus 18%)

24-1L bottles: $53.04 (roughly $1.87/bottle plus 18%)

Prices include any gratuities and are on par or cheaper than drinks at a restaurant, bar, or hotel. As noted, they are much more expensive on-board.

On the Sun last month, these Aquafina water packages were available at the bars onboard. They delivered the bottles to our stateroom in a nice cloth bag.

Sailed Epic & Escape this year, both also had these packages available. I just can't remember if it was the same price or not. I do know individual bottles are much more expensive.

The prices as listed on the web site:

Thanks, but I was trying to determine if there was a *difference* in price when you order it before or after you get on the ship. I might order a few bottles but I think I will drink Aqua Panna on board. I will probably take a water bottle and fill up on tap water before leaving the ship.

I do wish the bottles were smaller so you could take them with you. I'd prefer something like 16 oz instead of 34 oz.

EDIT: Can you order Aqua Panna or other drinks like soda, juice from room service?

From what I am seeing, the price of a water package is the same whether you pre-purchase or buy onboard. As OP wishes to use his OBC, I believe that buying a water package onboard is his only option.

This is what I want to do as well...use obc...can we expect to get our water soon after we order on board?

If I remember correctly, you order it from the bar and it will be delivered to your room. It came relatively quickly.

On the Sun last month a couple of the bars had smaller Aqua Panna for sale - 500 ml I think. You can buy the larger Aqua Panna from the room steward. There is a bottle in your room with a price tag on it.

Is Aqua Panna normally in glass or plastic bottles, do you know?

We purchased the water package before our cruise a few weeks ago and also purchased another case while on board and the price was the same. In the past, Aquafina was served in the casino but this time it was Aqua Panna. Personally, I preferred the Aquafina.
