Changing Booking Code

We have a similar situation to the OP's, with a twist. I just noticed that our Horizon May sailing is now a premier casino cruise. However, the rates aren't showing our cabin type (spa balcony) as being available under the casino fare. We booked early saver, and have enjoyed 4 price drops already. When I checked pricing yesterday, Carnival's web site had 6 spa balconies available.

Guess I'll be calling the Diamond or Casino Desk for an answer.

This has been my experience as recent as the last 6 months.

Booked on a cruise, announced as a premier. I was able to change over to a premier rate and get the benefits. It was ES and yes I had to pay the $50 each but so worth it to get the cash and lower rate.

Second time: Booked on a cruise announced as a premier. My category was sold out. So no rate change but the casino was willing to extend the benefits of premier.

I seem to have a knack for picking cruises that become premiers. It has happened to me several times.
