O'Sheehan's first night "special"

What is O'Sheehan's first night "special" currently? I know in the past, they've done prime rib, and I think ribs. Just wondering what the deal is now.

On the Getaway last Dec it was Prime rib.

As of February, it was prime rib. Nothing to write home about.

Probably changes from ship to ship depending on what they have in stock so I guess you'll just have to wait and be surprised when you get on board.

It's the difference between making reservations or not. DS is a bottomless pit that loves prime rib. This is why I asked.

Breakaway last week - nothing in terms of daily/nightly "specials" at OSH ... none that I saw, no posting in Freestyle Dailies ... "Washy Washy ...95" also on the same sailing didn't see/noticed anything on the 2 times passing by either. We've staying in AFT section and only ate there once for a late lunch and nothing special on a port day.

 

Garden Cafe was doing nightly themed specials, however ... but, nothing to write home about nor worthy of taking pictures of, IMHO.

Go ahead and make the other reservation just in case. You can check what's happening at O'Sheehans and adjust your plans as necessary after boarding. Also find the chef in the buffet and ask about the theme nights at the Garden Café for the rest of the cruise (there should also be prime rib or some similar giant roast there one night).

On the Oct 14 Escape cruise the first night was prime rib night at O'Sheehans but so was the last night. They also served prime rib in the MDR the last night.

We recently (10/21) had the Prime Rib in O'Sheehans the first night of our r/t cruise, to Quebec City on the Gem out of NY. There were long lines at the 2 main restaurants. No waiting here, walked right in. The Prime Rib was very good!

Interestingly it was prime rib in the mdr that first night too on our Getaway cruise.

Looks like there's a really good shot at prime rib on night #1. DS will be thrilled.

On our Oct 2017 Jade sailing to Canada, OSheehans had NO special dinners. Only the standard menu every single night. Waiter said the special menus may now be discontinued on all NCL ships.

We had the prime rib the first night, Oct 21, on the pearl and it was not good. Thin and flavorless. But their wings were good!!

Prime Rib on Escape last week.
