Wishing on a star Posted November 8, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2017 Are many ships still being diverted to the Western Caribbean. Just curious, if anyone might know how much this is still happening?
fishywood Posted November 8, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2017 To my knowledge Princess has not totally rerouted a single sailing from Eastern to Western. Just substituted alternative ports in the same region. Calls to St Thomas and Grand Turk will resume in December. If a cruise was scheduled to call at San Juan or St Maarten other ports are substituted, or in a couple cases an extra sea day occurred in place. But the nature of Princess' itineraries and the fact that no ships were in the Caribbean yet when the hurricanes hit, no such complete rerouting was necessary.
