VideoTech Posted November 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 24, 2017 We're longtime CAS (Casinos at Sea) cruisers on NCL, considering switching to Oceania. I've done a lot of reading on this forum so I think I'm aware of the differences between the two cruise lines. However, I'm curious to know if any other CAS cruisers have booked Oceania through CAS, and what that experience was like..i.e. how much was CAS able to discount the booking (and yes, I'm aware that casino discount bookings depend on play level. We are CAS Ruby if that helps any). CAS has always been very good to us on NCL..wondering if the treatment would be the same on Oceania. On a related note, can you do a "Frequent Cruiser" status match from NCL Lattitudes to Oceania's program? Thanks in advance!

No status matching You can get an OBC if you hold NCLH stock though
VideoTech Posted November 24, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted November 24, 2017 No status matchingYou can get an OBC if you hold NCLH stock though Thanks, one of us is an NCLH stockholder. But from what I've read, it's hard to use up the OBC since so much is included (at least if you take Olife).
Cruseforme Posted November 24, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 24, 2017 I personally wouldn’t cruise on O for the casino. The ships all have a Tolken casino with aprox 20 or so 15 yr old slot machines. Think of the oldest ones you see in the very back of land based casinos. They have a couple of blackjack tables, and i believe on Riviera/Marina, maybe a roulette wheel. Not the strongest part of an o cruise experience. However, if you want to cruise O for the food experience, and the upgrade from NCL ships, you will enjoy it. Just don’t expect the casino nightlife! And no, Lattitudes loyalty program is only for NCL ships, not for the other brands under NCL / Prestige holdings (O and Regent).

Yes if you do not drink or take ship's tours or go to the spa it may be tricky to use it up depending on what other OBC you get as noted the casinos are not very big & very tight ;)

Thanks - actually not looking for the casino experience, just trying to see if it's worth it to book through CAS for the discount. I can tell from the deck plans that the casino isn't very big.
