I met the OP a couple of times and again at the airport. Lovely couple and very friendly.

I agree with most of his observations, although we found Pinnacle better than we experienced in the past.

Thanks Ken! Small world huh?

Thanks for your excellent review. We were on the Nov 8 to Nov 29 sailing, and agree with all of your praise, especially about Sel de Mer. Absolutely the best food on the ship! Dined there three times, Tamarind three, Pinnacle once. Got tired of Pork Belly on the Lido. Crew was great, as usual, and other than a few weather annoyances, it was a great cruise. Best deal on the ship.... the unlimited laundry! Even if you have to pay the $7 per day, it is soooo worth it.

Met some great people, mostly trough Cruise Critic Roll Call. Shouts out to Mike and Lizzy, Mary and Bruno, Joan, Bill and Barbara, and Harlan and Anneke.

Now to start thinking about the next dam cruise, in April for a partial Panama Canal.

I was on 11/8 - 11/19. Met a guy at dinner and we danced almost every night at BB Kings. Got a text from him Wednesday evening and he said he had a difficult time finding new dance partners but finally found a few willing to get out there with him. But they didn't polka or waltz with him as I had! ;p

I also thought the Lincoln Stage performers were fantastic. Too bad about the neighboring noise. Really hope they re-design that area on the new ship!

So wonderful to read such a positive review of the Konigsdam! We share your sentiments and can't wait to go again. Definitely our favorite ship at sea of any lines. It is just the right size and compared to other lines, on the small size! And we also loved Lincoln Center Stage. What an extraordinary group of young, talented musicians. After three weeks, we felt they were our kids! I am happy on almost any HAL ship, but this is one truly special vessel.
