cisco 09 Posted December 3, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2017 Hi guys. Anyone any experience of using baby monitors on board. Hoping to be cruising on Independence of the Seas next year with my family. If the adults gather in one cabin for drinks, would a monitor work from the cabin next door. Many thanks in advance. Rare Essiesmom Posted December 3, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2017 Probably, but not much further. Too much metal in the ship. There have been multiple threads on this, you might try a search. EM
cisco 09 Posted December 3, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted December 3, 2017 Thanks EM. Thought it was a bit of an "odd" question but obviously not ! Janice
horsegal Posted December 3, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 3, 2017 It was a carnival shop but I was able to use a sound monitor for when I was on the balcony and my son was napping or sleeping. I would think next door should work. Sent from my XT1650 using Forums mobile app
Rare Keith1010 Posted December 5, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 5, 2017 We had our children and grand children on a recent cruise and they were able to use the monitor from next room next door. Keith
strobellayjam Posted December 6, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 6, 2017 We always book 2 interconnecting rooms (kids on their own) and have had no issues with the monitor reception, both video and audio, from next door.
JLCMOM Posted December 15, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 15, 2017 We used our video monitor on our September cruise. It worked from 2 rooms down, but not any further... Our family had 3 rooms in a row.
