Inside balcony HOS

Hi we are new to RCCL. We usually do a balcony room with the ocean but we want to try something different for a change. Pros and cons with Central park view and Boardwalk view? We love to sit and people watch in the evening while having a drink. Which room is better and are they noisy after 11 in the evenings? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Boardwalk tends to be cooler and noisier. Central Park is quieter and hotter.

I’ve been generally happy with Boardwalk balconies, though the slides on Harmony disrupt the view a bit unless you are far aft. Central Park balconies seem like they would be too stuffy to me. I helped one travel companion get one once and after requesting it, he said he would not sail in a CP balcony again if possible.

Had to read your post to understand what you meant by 'inside' balcony. Never thought of it like that. Can't reply to your post as never stayed but we have Boardwalk booked with our kids. Looks like lots of fun to people watch and see what's going on.

There is a big lack of privacy on these balconies because although you might want to people watch, people can watch you too either on balconies opposite or anyone looking down from the pool deck 15.

We paid more money to have a traditional oceon view balcony on our 3 cruises on Harmony in 2016.

I really enjoyed having the Central Park View balcony on Harmony back in January. It was my first time having a balcony and I thought it was cool looking down into the garden. It felt like you were almost in a Downtown City atmosphere. Based on the ground view from the boardwalk area, I don't think I would enjoy that as much unless I had the very back few rooms where you could possibly see the ocean behind the slide and the high dive show Stadium

We cruised in Boardwalk balcony on Oasis and loved it. We never experienced the noise people complain about while we were in our room. To be able to be see/be outside while paying an inside price is a great deal to me.

Also just sailed on Harmony and originally had a boardwalk guarantee, when assigned we called and were able to switch to regular balcony for the same price.

Plus... Boardwalk balcony comes with extra perks: soda package for two, Johnny Rockets lunch for two and rock wall climbing lesson.
