jeninthecity Posted December 4, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 4, 2017 Hello!! Looking for suggestions for a hotel in Miami for rental for daytime use. There is a group of us (6 in total) getting off a ship on a Sunday and we don't fly out until that evening. Was hoping to get hotel room for the day and use of the facilities at the hotel. We hope to only get one room really just to hold our luggage but to have if someone wants to have a nap or a shower. We hope to stay in South Beach if possible but any information for any hotels in Miami would be welcomed. Thanks!
Rare Keith1010 Posted December 4, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 4, 2017 Here are a couple of sites that you can use to find hotels that offer daytime rates. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=-1&f=672 https://www.hotelsbyday.com/en Keith
jeninthecity Posted December 4, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted December 4, 2017 Thanks for the information. We are hoping to just have to get one room but most of the hotels are telling us we have to rent two because of the size of our group (6 people). Thanks again much appreciated. garycarla Posted December 4, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 4, 2017 So, what are you going to do with the room? If you really are not going to spend time in the room, then only register 2 or 4 people. The others can just be "visitors". Of course, if you show up all at once in a cab - or two cabs - not so easy. Normally, I suggest folks with late flights rent a car. Then go where you want, and you have storage for bags and you have transfer to airport. With this size group, you would need two cars or a van. JohninDC Posted December 4, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 4, 2017 You can store your bags at the Luggage Lounge in South Beach while your explore, dine, site see, etc. Collect your bags in the afternoon and then use the Airport Flyer Bus (about $3 each) to get from SB to MIA. ;)
