so my fiancé and I registered for cruise cash for our wedding. Our final payment is due prior to our wedding and bridal shower. Of at the end of our cruise we did not use all of the on board credit, what happens to the rest?

Thank you!

It is non-refundable unfortunately.

  • Cruise Cash is non-refundable and any unused credits will be forfeited.

I think there is a work-around using the casino for a fee, but I'm not sure if you can anymore.

If you have money left over, go to the casino on the last night and put your sign and sail card into a machine and load the amount left over, spin once and then cash out, you then can go to the casino desk and get your cash.

Cruise cash is only usable once on board, basically your family and friends are buying you non-refundable On Board Credits. OBC is not active until you are done with the physical check-in at the cruise terminal. It will show as a -$XX.00 on your S&S account, you can then track how you spent then figure out if there is any balance. Funds will come off in this order...

  • Non-refundable or special promo on board credits
  • Cruise Cash (department specific CC will be applied 1st if on account & qualified purchase made)
  • Refundable OBC
  • Carnival Gift cards
  • Cash or cash equivalents like Traveler's Cheques
  • Credit or Debit cards

If looking for funds to pre-pay things like excursions, drink packages, spa treatment, in room gifts, or auto-gratuities request Carnival gift certificates to be given at the showers. If t here is any funds left on the gift card(s) you can use them towards your on board account, and anything from it not spent will be refunded on a new card mailed to you after the cruise, as long as the balance is more than $10. If you want the cash you can also use the casino method to make a "cash-out" of unused balance on the S&S account.

On Glory our cruise cash did not show up on the kiosk, I had to verify that it was on the account at guest services. As we spent money the amount of credit displayed increased until we reached the amount of cruise cash that we had (so our balance due at the end of the invoice remained zero until the cruise cash had been used up). There is probably an accounting term for how they did that but it was confusing at first.

I have used cruise cash in the past couple of cruises. Now that we usually spend a certain amount on the ship i would want to use cruise cash for all.of my on board purchases. When I go onto Carnivals website it states that only a maximum amount is allowed to be purchased per cabin. My question is that my upcoming cruise I have 2 separate cabins booked but everyone falls under my charging privileges so will the cruise cash not be split even though it's under 2 different booking numbers? Thank you.
