drfun48 Posted December 14, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2005 I recall from previous cruises that there are places where one could purchase an alcoholic beverage. If this is true, does anyone have one that they might suggest as their favorite?

Leela Posted December 14, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 14, 2005 For me it depends on the ship. On the now gone Horizon, it was Michael's Club. On Mercury, it was the Martini Bar. On Century, it was the Mast Bar (I think that is what it was called).
teedee Posted December 15, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 15, 2005 No matter which ship I'm on it's the martini bar for me! Celebrity has great martinis and I almost always stop for one on my way to dinner. Terri

darrencantwait Posted December 15, 2005 #9 Share Posted December 15, 2005 I don't see it on the deck plans for the Connie, but bar on the upper decks at the very aft of the ship. Best place for sail-away cocktail!

atb Posted December 15, 2005 #13 Share Posted December 15, 2005 We always end up at the Cova Coffee Bar :D - it's quiet - pour a good drink - and are always friendly - Loyda from the Phillipines was the chief bartender at the Cova Bar - on the Constellation - but had followed us there from the Galaxy;) - she makes an excellent champagne cocktail - would go to the galley for fresh fruit to add to the drink.:D :D

travelingmom37 Posted December 17, 2005 #16 Share Posted December 17, 2005 ANOTHER VOTE FOR THE MARTINI BAR. ON ONE OF THE FIRST DAYS THEY HAVE A "MARTINI TASTING' WHERE YOU TRY 5 VARIETIES FOR $5! This is how I fell in love w/the French Martinis.
flashdog_1 Posted December 17, 2005 #17 Share Posted December 17, 2005 Michael's Club. When I was in college at William and Mary many decades ago, after dinner the jocks would sit on the steps of the Methodist church and watch the freshmen girls pass on their ritual way to the post office, make wolf whistles, comments etc. just like a bunch of construction workers. Well, walking thru Rondezvous or Martini bar before dinner reminds me of the same feeling...on display, although, thankfully, there are no wolf whistles, and not all eyes are on any particular person. Rare uktog Posted December 17, 2005 #18 Share Posted December 17, 2005 A no brainer for me (well I have no brain when I leave it) Martini Bar with an Apple Martini on the first night, then I work my way through the menu for the resot of the trip. Have never met Sudi but really hope he is on the Connie next May having read so much here about him
reggierail Posted December 18, 2005 #19 Share Posted December 18, 2005 The pool bar for my early morning Bloody Mary, then a refill at the Rendezvous lounge before lunch. Just before dinner and after the show you'd find me at the Champagne Bar with Jean Paul from the Phillipines. He was a bartender extraordaire and made the best Fu-Fu drinks on board. If you sail soon on Infinity please say HI to JP from Reggie. Reggie:D
