Flying into MCO? Sanford? Melborn?

Most will fly into MCO (Orlando); from there it is a 50-60 minute drive to Port Canaveral. We prefer to stay in Orlando, especially if our flight arrives later in the day, rent a car one way, and drive to the port the next morning. Drop off the car, ride the free shuttle to the port, and enjoy your cruise. If you have a large group you can drop them off with the bags and then return the car solo.

Post cruise, unless your flight leaves after about 1:30-2:00 I would not bother with a rental car - just use one of the popular shuttle services.

Have a great cruise!

From MCO to PC is about an hour drive and the taxi will cost you well over $100  but otherwise you should have no issues.

You can use UberX (good for 2-3 passengers and normal amount of bags) for about $60, you can rent a car one way, or you can use shared shuttle services for about $20 or so per person.

Your call. ;)

For us coming in the night before the easiest was to stay at Springhill suites by the airport. They have free shuttle to the hotel. You can then use contrans from either the hotel or the airport depending on your timing. Getting back from port is actually a bit trickier to plan. Shared taxi would have been cheaper than uber. The other option is to book the night before in port canveral. Hopefully someone will post the link for the stay and cruise site. Or you can Google it

Thank you John, yes $100 for a taxi ride is steep! When using Cortrans, is it wise/necessary to reserve before getting to your pre-cruise hotel, or can you request to be on a morning shuttle at hotel check-in. We are looking at Double Tree Orlando Airport.

You are better off booking in advance (call today!) - in addition to Cortrans check Cocoa Beach shuttle and Travelynx; one of them might pick up at your hotel, saving you the trouble of catching the hotel shuttle back to MCO.

We booked a hotel room for the night before with shuttle from airport to hotel, hotel to port and port to airport through goportcanaveral dot com. They deal with several big name hotels. Hotel we booked has shuttle from airport until midnight for late evening arrivals.

I've heard several good reviews on other websites for this site. This is the fly, snooze, cruise program. They also have snooze, park, cruise packages.
