What about children? Is they free to entrance with adults? There is 130$ per adult and nothing said about children!

“Guests under 18 years old are not admitted” in the Medi-Spa and Thermal area, as per MSC USA website.

Greetings, does anyone know the hours of operation for the thermal spa and if its open on port days?

I do not remember the times that they open/close the spa (long days for sure), but they are open during port days. We went there during all our port stops since we had no interest in the ports of call (been to all of them before). Also, the spa is much less busy during port days.

This is from the MSC website

  • Thermal area: 13 to 15-year olds may enter accompanied by an adult on signature of a waiver form, while 16 and 17-year-olds may enter unaccompanied on signature of a waiver.

We sailed last June and we quoted this to them and they said it was wrong. They said that 16 and 17 year olds could use the gym/fitness facilities with a parent waiver, but NOT the thermal spa. They refused my 17.5 year-old daughter on 2 different occasions (2 different staff members). You might be able to sneak in an older teen through the fitness area, but don't count on it.

I see different rules on different web pages

Here they are allowed  https://www.msccruises.com/en-gl/Discover-MSC/On-Board/Spa-And-Relaxation/Spa-Relaxation.aspx

and here they are not  https://www.msccruisesusa.com/en-us/Discover-MSC/On-Board/Spa-and-Relaxation/Spa-Relaxation.aspx

The latter seems to be the US site.

It is 18 years old on all ships @Jgraham03

However, whereas on the SEASIDE, the spa manager wouldn't seem to allow anyone even one day too young enter the spa (we had a 16 year old who got in but was kicked out even though the site allowed us to pay for him when the ship was new), the MERAVIGLIA staff were a lot less "watchful" and seemed to not even check if people purchased the pass (not sure if it's just cuz they knew us or what but they never seemed to scan our cards or ask for verification that we paid for spa passes

Definitely open on port days. If I remember correctly, it was open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Does anyone know if the 1 day thermal pass is included when purchasing a massage treatment or is it an additional charge?

It’s additional unless you are Aurea or Yacht club. They do offer a massage option that includes a one day pass, but it’s more expensive that just a 1hr massage.
