Cruzinram Posted January 6, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2018 We are hoping to to do a B2B in April sailing on the Eclipse from FLL to Dublin and then on to Iceland and back to Dublin. To avoid flying back to the States we would like to take the QM2 from Southampton to NYC on May 10. The only problem is May 10 is also the same day we arrive back in Dublin. So we would need to fly from Dublin to Southampton and hope that we can make the 4 PM departure of the QM2. Or perhaps fly from Dublin to Heathrow. Option two would be disembark in Cork the day before we arrive in Dublin and give us extra day to make the sailing out of Southampton. We have never disembarked early so not sure that is doable. Option three would be to take the Cunard air with the guarantee late arrival to say Heathrow and take the Cunard transfer from Heathrow to Southampton. That way Cunard may be on the hook for getting us to Southampton on time. I would have to talk with Cunard about the option. So now that I have completely confused everyone, what would be our best option?
Rare cruisestitch Posted January 6, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2018 There are others planning the same and they are disembarking at Cork. Celebrity is charging a fee of, I think, $65 pp for this downline disembarkation.
Cruzinram Posted January 6, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted January 6, 2018 How can I reach others that are also planning this big adventure by leaving the ship in Cork?

TeaBag Posted January 6, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 6, 2018 You could go on the roll calls for each of the Celebrity cruises and pose your question there. Hopefully someone is doing the same. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2427341 https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2427307
Smallfamily Posted May 11, 2018 #6 Share Posted May 11, 2018 Getting off in Cork sounds like the only non stressful option. The flight that day you cruise is so risky. You do have to pay the cruiseline for the option to leave early and get approved. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
