Places to buy fabric?

My husband’s aunt wants to know if there is anywhere to buy fabric locally, she likes to sew various items including quilts.

I remember a shop several years ago behind the town square.

I would go to the Mega store. Any taxi driver can drop you off there. It is just south of downtown, and like a 2-story Target/Walmart. Some of everything there.

I have never noticed fabric in Mega, but then I wasn’t really looking.

 

Apparently there is, or was, a store near Chedraui (the other supermarket). If you put “fabric Cozumel” into Google the first hit is from TripAdvisor forum with answers to this question (although a few years old so don’t know how current it is) but may give you some places to start from and it includes the place I remember from near the square. HTH.

Here is the Mega:

it is much bigger and has more stuff than Chedraui.

 

Chedraui is just south of there, and smaller, single level. We got there every vacation (when we are staying on island) as it is closer, but Mega is probably the best bet to get almost anything on the island. From what I am told, they even have great Tequila prices.
