SummmerInKefalonia Posted January 8, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2018 I did a quick search at port schedules and I found some info about Costa Cruises Summer 2019 Deployment and I wrote some thoughts: Western Mediterranean Costa Diadema http://www.portsdebalears.com/es/previsiones?inicio=2019-05-01&fin=2019-10-31 *Same itineraries as 2018 Costa Fascinosa http://www.portsdebalears.com/es/previsiones?inicio=2019-05-01&fin=2019-10-31 *Same itineraries as 2018 Costa Fortuna http://www.portsdebalears.com/es/previsiones?inicio=2019-05-01&fin=2019-10-31 *Probably in Costa Victoria's place Eastern Mediterranean Costa Deliziosa http://www.portdubrovnik.hr/ *Same itineraries as 2018 Costa Luminosa ****************************/cruise-k116859-world-costa-luminosa-venice *She returns to Venice instead of Savona on 04/21/2019 from the world cruise-probably she will do the same itineraries as 2018 from Venice's port. Costa Victoria http://www.portdubrovnik.hr/ *Indicates she will be in the area for the summer period. Costa neoRiviera https://www.cruisetimetables.com/cruisesoncostaneoriviera-23mar2019.html *I think she will do the same itineraries as 2018 for the same reasons Costa Luminosa will do hers. Norwegian Fjords Costa Favolosa http://www.stranda-hamnevesen.no/cruise-calls *Same itineraries as 2018 Costa Pacifica http://www.stranda-hamnevesen.no/cruise-calls *Same itineraries as 2018 (Phase A) Costa Mediteranneahttp://www.stranda-hamnevesen.no/cruise-calls *Same itineraries as 2018 Baltic Sea Costa Pacifica *Same itineraries as 2018 (Phase B) Costa Magica *Same itineraries as 2018 Asia Costa Venezia Costa Serena Costa Atlantica Costa neoRomantica What's your thoughts about this? tenpin Posted January 8, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2018 It is very rare that Costa decides the itineraries that far ahead, these are probably maybe's

G.M.T. Posted January 8, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 8, 2018 In the past you could always depend on Costa bringing out it's new schedule in the February / March tiem frame, most recently this has slipped, now June, e.g. 06/2018 for from Spring 2019. If the scedule is as you have written, then it's going to be another boring Costa year.
maryann2 Posted January 8, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 8, 2018 Not boring for me. I am booked on the Costa Fortuna from Singapore to Savona March 5th 2019 24 days. Good solo price. Not sure what state the ship will be in returning from the Asian market though.

True, this cruise is not boring, but it is a one off - every couple of years, the rest in the first message for me are boring, they are like a bus route - they run every 5 minutes. 10 years ago Costa was much more adventurous, they were the first cruise line in Far East, Dubai, India, Soputh America, Mauritius / Seychelles. tjandluke Posted January 8, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 8, 2018 Not boring for me either. Hoping that they continue to offer cruising in Asia. Its been too long that their ships have been charted out exclusively to the Chinese market.
trickyoat Posted January 12, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 12, 2018 I think the OP refers to the repetitive nature of the itineraries week in week out throughout a season. I agree their cruise offerings are very "samey" every year, same ships on same routes.

SummmerInKefalonia Posted February 5, 2018 Author #10 Share Posted February 5, 2018 Costa replied to my e-mail and said they are going to announce their itineraries for 2019 this March.
alicat58 Posted February 14, 2018 #11 Share Posted February 14, 2018 I don't think Costa is really different from any other line that does the Med or Caribbean. Not large areas and they will go to virtually the same places. The large cities in Europe has endless(well nearly) things to see and visiting for one day only gives you the opportunity to visit a few things. I have no problem going back to them time and again. The NeoRiviera is doing a new itinerary visiting lots of Croatian ports in October. I like the ship and we might well book one of those. What I have noticed is that the prices are now much higher on Costa(even if you deduct the drinks package). I think the low prices post Concordia is now a thing of the past. I have no problem with that but might shop around a little more. I wonder if the higher prices will change the passenger dynamics. Hope I don't get shot down for my comments. Skydrift Posted February 27, 2018 #12 Share Posted February 27, 2018 Looking at the port schedule of Amsterdam for 2020, I think the Costa Fortuna will be doing this years Costa Mediterranea itineraries. Also the Costa Magica, Costa Favolosa and Costa Pacifica are expected so I think the latter two will do the same itineraries as last few years. trickyoat Posted April 10, 2018 #15 Share Posted April 10, 2018 Same ships in Northern Europe on same cruises, not very imaginative. Iv'e always wondered how they pick which ships to send to Northern Europe?..it can't be a random draw of names out of a hat as it's normally the same ones most years! Dancer Bob Posted April 11, 2018 #16 Share Posted April 11, 2018 As far as I know, senior officers stay with the ship, so they're going back to ports they're familiar with, why re-invent the wheel. I've just booked repositioning Dubai-Savona 2019, which I did this year. Price is 50% higher but it was so dirt-cheap, it's still an excellent price, not to mention lots more fun than an American ship. My Canadian agent is hyping a Princess cruise, similar route but more Mediterranean stops, for QUADRUPLE!!! the price.
hun Posted April 14, 2018 #17 Share Posted April 14, 2018 The summer 2019 itineraries are online. I’m looking for Western Med for June 2019 (or September 2019) and can’t find it yet... [emoji848] did you find on the Costa site? Although I looked on the US site, maybe I should take a look at a different one?
