Bailey & Sophie Posted May 2, 2018 #26 Share Posted May 2, 2018 We are not beach people. Love being ON the water, but not IN it. We've cruised to Aruba several times and have exhausted just about everything that interests us. Last year we went to the National Archaeological Museum and the Fort. They are both walkable distance from the pier. Very interesting and they really didn't have a huge admission price. Then we took the free trolly back towards the pier. It was very hot, so we dawdled down the streets, and had plenty of time to do both museums. I am going to Aruba in April 2017 and am looking for suggestions to do during the day besides spending the day at a beach. I easily burn and am not one for sitting on a beach all day. My husband is going diving and the shore excursions did not excite me. A group of us are doing the sunset cruise at night but am at a loss as to what to do during the day. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
lenquixote66 Posted May 2, 2018 #27 Share Posted May 2, 2018 We enjoyed going to the casinos on Aruba. There's a whole bunch on Palm Beach. We enjoyed going from one to the other....it helped that we won.:D We found a casino that paid off so well we nearly missed the ship :)
cb at sea Posted May 2, 2018 #28 Share Posted May 2, 2018 ALL of Aruba is a desert...there is very little rainfall due to the flat terrain.
