wolf7 Posted January 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2018 Hi Can anyone suggest the options for parking for a week at Southampton? Thanks Wolf
lmb1988 Posted January 19, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2018 We used ABP Parking when we went from Southampton a couple of years ago - it was £80 for 10 days, parked within a 5 min walk to the ship, and they have attendants in the car park who take your luggage to the ship for loading. lmb1988 Posted January 19, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 19, 2018 Just seen you are going with P&O they have different parking recommendations - CPS are who they recommend. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
terrierjohn Posted January 19, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 19, 2018 Parking4cruises offer a similar service to CPS, generally cheaper for 14 day cruises, maybe not for 7 days, but you can easily get a price on-line via their websites. https://www.cruiseparking.co.uk/Order/Create https://www.parking4cruises.co.uk/
kentchris Posted January 19, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 19, 2018 If you've booked Select Fare and are happy with valet parking then CPS may well be the best option as it could cost less in OBC than booking Parking4Cruises. E.g. if you were on B807 you could opt for parking with CPS for £60 worth of OBC (and still have £80 OBC left over) while Parking4Cruises would charge £85.99. A no-brainer in that case, but you need to do the sums for your particular cruise.
kalos Posted January 19, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 19, 2018 (edited) We find Penguin parking suits our needs as we always travel the day before and stay at Winchester. The next day a quick run down the M271 to Redbridge roundabout and instead of turning left and heading for the docks in busy traffic ,we turn right and head to Marchwood down country lanes . Very easy to get to , you are just the other side of the water from the ships . They run a free coach / mini bus , which drops you at the side of the porters with your luggage . Coming home ,just text them the day before with what time you want picking up . They take you back to your car ,20mins later you're in your car with a bottle of water each for your journey home . Just checked our next cruise and Penguin saved us £46 to what it would have cost to park nearer the ships which to us was almost a free nights stay at Winchester with the savings . There is plenty of options in and around Southampton just make sure it's a secure one . Edited January 19, 2018 by kalos

Eboracum_d Posted January 19, 2018 #9 Share Posted January 19, 2018 I recommend a package deal withe DeVere New Place. Dinner B&B plus car parking Although it’s 8 miles from the ship the hotel provides the taxi transfers as well as the car parking.
