Miami Bayside Marketplace - First Night In Miami - Dinner Recommendations

Bayside is all chains and would not be my first recommendations. They know they have the tourist market cornered and none of the places have to try because most people that are there are not repeat customers.

There are so many places that are within a close radius of your hotel. What kind of price range are you looking for as that would help give some recommendations!

We have so many choices around here and so many different ranges in menu price. And so many great restaurants.

Some excellent restaurants within a short distance are:

Boulud Sud just opened at the Marriott Marquis (used to be DB Bistro and is still Daniel Boulod)

Zest (local chef Cindy Hutson who also owns Ortanique in Coral Gables)

Zuma for sushi

River Oyster

Trulucks (chain by most of the seafood is sourced locally from their fishery over by Naples, FL)

U'mast (Italian is downtown and right by your hotel)

Toro Toro in the Intercontinental

Il Gabbiano (Italian)

Trulucks is a very good choice, right next to my office building. It is a chain, but a small one. I always enjoy my meals there.

Another one of my favorites in Downtown and very close to the Holiday Inn is Pollo Y Jarras. A bit more casual than Trulucks.
