kingcole Posted January 28, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2018 Does anyone know at what level of play you get the sticker on your card that allows free drinks in the casino? Trying to weigh up whether buying a drinks package is a good idea or not as most of my drinking shall be in the casino. If I'm at a level where I will get the sticker, is there anyway I can just buy my wife a drinks package and not me? It's been a few years since my last Royal cruise. Have the wine packages dissapeared. I'll be on The Anthem is July if that has any baring on the answers and am booked through Mlife as a gold member who earnt their tier points playing in Vegas. colocop004 Posted January 28, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2018 I believe it was 1000 points last month on FOTS, not sure if M Life status changes that. Sent from my iPad using Forums
cb at sea Posted January 28, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2018 RCI changed it to if one adult wants the package, both must purchase it. It's probably less expensive to just have her purchase her drinks as she goes, if you only plan to drink while in the casino.
snoope Posted January 28, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2018 MLife status does not get you drinks. The most it can get you is the waiver of the cash fee on your seapass card. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
gaylemh Posted January 28, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 28, 2018 When I first got the sticker it was given to me at 1500 points. Now I only need 1000 points to keep it for future cruises.

I received the sticker on Anthem in October at 1,000 points and was told it qualified me for free drinks for the remainder of that cruise and the entire next cruise as well. Good luck in the casino! kingcole Posted January 28, 2018 Author #7 Share Posted January 28, 2018 Thanks for the replies. Now I only play table games (mainly UTH). Am I right in thinking it's only slot play that awards points? On my last cruise I knew of a small number of table players who were awarded the free drinks. And yes, wife will go PAYG if we both have to buy.

Foosguy Posted January 28, 2018 #9 Share Posted January 28, 2018 You will accrue points with table play. While this is true, table games do not earn at the same rate as slot play. My suggestion is to introduce yourself to the casino host immediately. They will tell you what kind of play is needed to earn free drinks with table play. RCI tends to not give this offer to quickly unless table play is a consistent $50+ per hand for multiple hours. If you tend to bet that high on UTH, then after 1 or 2 days I would expect that the perk would be offered to you. Slots is much easier to earn that perk and could be cheaper in the long run. Kyle Sent from my iPhone using Forums Thanks. It will be intersting to know how they rate a $50 per hand play. In Vegas on UTH I typically bet $20 on the Ante and $5 on the bonus. At the Mirage this has me rated with an average bet of $65 (3 x ante plus bonus). Obv Blackjack is far more linear. A $50 bet here is a $50 bet. dep Posted January 28, 2018 #11 Share Posted January 28, 2018 How does that work with the slot machines? The points you acrew On the slot machines, correct me if I’m wrong, but if you reach 1000 points using your Seapass card in the machines those that qualify you for free drinks? Rare Shippy Posted January 28, 2018 #12 Share Posted January 28, 2018 How does that work with the slot machines? The points you acrew On the slot machines, correct me if I’m wrong, but if you reach 1000 points using your Seapass card in the machines those that qualify you for free drinks? ALWAYS put your seapass card in. You never know if that $20. will be lost in1 minute....no points...or you get an hours play...lots of points. It is not about how much of YOUR money you use but how much is run through the machine. At 1,00 you might ask the host for drinks. General rule of thumb...300 points a day average for your cruise. 2,100 for 7 days. If I skip a day in the casino I can make up points the next day. If you get that many points and are not contacted by the host, you MUST find them before the end of the cruise to join Club Royale. Once that cruise is over, it is to late. We have been members for years. Now when we start a new cruise, we just go to the casino cage in the beginning and they put the sticker on. I do not think you are ever kicked out of the club once you qualify. There have been cruises where I could not get any play so just quit before getting the minimum amount of play and had no trouble on the following cruise. Once you qualify, remember...no matter who you book your next cruise through....call Club Royale to ask them if they will discount more....they always do. Just had that level on Majesty and I was able per casino hostess to order 2 drinks at same time. So my hubby got free drinks too. He's rated Choice and no free drinks
fla gang Posted May 29, 2018 #14 Share Posted May 29, 2018 I'm hoping to get the sticker on my comped cruise on the Enchantment. I also have 2 more cruises booked this fall through club Royale. Had not been getting any mail from club Royale and so they checked and the feature that sends out mail was turned off for my name, so they sent me the list of comped cruises I qualify for. We will be Diamond at the end of the year.
