Whats the best car rental place close to port of Miami? Anyone with suggestions as to getting to rental location or perhaps does anyone know cab fare from port of Miami to Miami airport to pick up rental car?

CruiserBruce has it right. The Florida Departures Board is a great place to ask about this.

We just booked with Budget, we are picking up at the Airport on Thursday and returning to the Budget office closer to the Port on Saturday. Budget provides free shuttle to the Port. When booking online I used return to a different location option and selecgted Budget Cruise-Port free shuttle option. Very reasonable rates :)

Hertz has an office nearby and they will pick up and drop off at the port. Miami Marriott Biscanye Bay also has a Hertz rental there.
