Rare cruiselvr04 Posted February 13, 2018 #27 Share Posted February 13, 2018 Hoping for the 10 drink card.... we just don’t drink enough to justify a package but like the cards. Can’t wait till April! 4 sea days sounds like heaven and we have fun ports of call planned. Bummed that Navigator doesn’t have the room drink packages (spirit and mixer). I liked that on Liberty. Can’t figure out why they offer that on so few ships if they are going to offer it at all.
Rare HangryGrl Posted February 13, 2018 #28 Share Posted February 13, 2018 The 10 drink card on our 1/19 cruise was $75 + 18% gratuity ($89).
sross6019 Posted February 13, 2018 #29 Share Posted February 13, 2018 Can you share the drink card or it only for the one that purchased it?
Clarea Posted February 13, 2018 #30 Share Posted February 13, 2018 Can you share the drink card or it only for the one that purchased it? Since the card is not unlimited, they don't care if you share it.
maudde Posted February 13, 2018 #31 Share Posted February 13, 2018 This cruise had the best crew out of all the cruises I’ve been on. Everyone seemed happy and were always there with a smile and a kind word. I saw the drink card on the cruise planner offered for the sixth day and every day after. It was offered at 10 drinks for $75 plus 18% grat. for a total of $88.50 I believe. We didn’t get the drink package but had free drinks in the casino, so for around the pool, it was a good deal for us.
tullers Posted February 13, 2018 #32 Share Posted February 13, 2018 Those 10 drink cards and their availability are based on booked capacity and sales during the sailing. late Jan/early Feb tend to have lower occupancy levels. April 4 will be a fairly full cruise as it occurs during week after Easter.
ihopfar Posted February 13, 2018 #33 Share Posted February 13, 2018 Do you recall the show times? I know some nights are different. I was surprised when looking at compasses for earlier in the season there were no shows around 7pm. Was that still the case? Earliest I saw was 7:45. Thanks, Brad
Paulette3028 Posted February 13, 2018 #34 Share Posted February 13, 2018 Thanks Paulette! Do you know if Navigator was using the old menus? Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk I will be honest, old menu's or new menu's, I just don't care as long as I get a menu. Food was basically good....only once did I order something that I did not like (it was the pork tenderloin with a cheese glaze) and the waiter immediately saw that I wasn't happen and was at my side asking me what other item I would like. purplegrapefruit Posted February 14, 2018 #36 Share Posted February 14, 2018 OP - do you have the departure flyer? We were on the Jan 19th sailling and also had a fabulous time! Thanks again My apologies! Here is a PDF. Hope this is better. We were off the ship in record time. Just a short wait once our tag number was called (#5). The luggage collection was super simple, love how they have multiple conveyor belts, we found our luggage right away and got a cab immediately. geneology Posted February 14, 2018 #39 Share Posted February 14, 2018 This is our first time on Royal Caribbean - We liked the itinerary. Any one have any ideas on what to do in ports? Aruba we want as a beach day - suggestions on which beach? At a loss on what to do on the other two islands. Also does Navigator have any large Broadway type shows? Any other ideas on what is not to be missed since we are new to the ship and the line. How is Labadee? Lots of questions!!! Been doing research but for some odd reason nothing is really jumping out at us.

geneology Posted February 14, 2018 #42 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Also which nights were the formal nights? With out getting ripped to shreds - How dressed up do you have to get? I just wanted to know what the majority dresses like - so we can pack accordingly. My DH wants to just bring his navy sports jacket, grey pants, collared shirt - would prefer not to wear a tie. Does this work for formal nights?

Been doing research but for some odd reason nothing is really jumping out at us. The Amiga Island excursion in Labadee is very relaxing and it is a beautiful beach away from the crowds. We had booked it a second time for this sailing, but unfortunately it was cancelled due to mechanical problems. We did the jetboat and snorkel instead and were super glad we did. What a fun boat ride and the snorkeling was way better than just off Amiga island. In Curacao, we visited the Sea Aquarium on our own. Great way to spend half a day. I did a Tripadvisor review : https://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowUserReviews-g147278-d286262-r558653055-Curacao_Sea_Aquarium-Willemstad_Curacao.html In Aruba we did the Mi Dushi sail and snorkel, booked through the ship. (assuming anything Dolphin related is extra of course) The shows (Dolphin and Sea lion) were free. Getting a picture with a dolphin was $20. Not sure the price for the dolphin experience. Many other free interactive activities including feeding the flamingos!
Clarea Posted February 14, 2018 #47 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Where do you pick up that bus and is there a charge for the actual beach entry? Walk straight out of the terminal entrance, cross the main street and bear right a bit, you can't miss the bus station. We can usually see it from the ship. No charge for beach entry, but if you want loungers and/or shade, figure around $25 per couple.

Does this work for formal nights? Dress suggestions are not enforced, so people wear the full range of attire. I don't think there's any "majority" of dress. Wear whatever you want.
