coasterbrad Posted February 14, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Where are you coming from and how are you getting to NYC? If you are driving, look for hotels in NJ that have cruise packages. I stayed at a Hilton, parked our car there for the week, had breakfast, and had a private driver take us to the port and pick us up after our cruise. All for around $200. Insanely good deal. If that is an option for you and you want more info I can try to find out the exact details.

Price includes lodging and I think a free breakfast and also parking for the week and transportation to/from port. Good deal!
LrgPizza Posted February 14, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 14, 2018 We like to stay at The Manhattan Times Square. It’s an easy walk to the cruise terminal, and is much less expensive than other Times Square properties. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
oldpianos Posted February 14, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 14, 2018 We stayed at the Kimpton Ink 48. If you look online, it is literally a 1 block walk from the cruise terminal. Very nice hotel, in the $250 range. Once onboard, I took photos of the hotel from the ship.
mjkacmom Posted February 14, 2018 #10 Share Posted February 14, 2018 If you are planning on doing any touring, I’d get a hotel elsewhere. There is no reason to be walking distance to the port, taxis are very plentiful, and Manhattan isn’t that big. I’d rather be closer to the action and deal with a $10 cab ride. DKane Posted February 14, 2018 #11 Share Posted February 14, 2018 We also booked at the Hilton Garden in Ridgefield Park, NJ. Price includes lodging and I think a free breakfast and also parking for the week and transportation to/from port. Good deal! Hilton Garden Inn prices have risen since that $200 quote. Guess it all depends on when you are sailing.
Barb Nahoumi Posted February 14, 2018 #12 Share Posted February 14, 2018 We stayed at the Holiday Inn, Midtown. Nice Rooms. and a short cab ride to the pier. The best advice is to check out the East Coast Departures Board on Cruise Critic, for lot's more info.
