teague38 Posted February 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2018 If i get the discounted gift cards from AARP can i take them on board with me and use them as cash for my sign and sail account? I don’t want to use them to purchase cruise cash ahead of time because if you don’t use all of it you lose it. Another question is if I am able to use it as cash on S&S account, will any overage be refunded as cash or given back on a gift card?
Rare PrincessArlena'sDad Posted February 18, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2018 You can use it to fund your S&S account on board. Anything left over will be refunded as a gift card, unless you cash it out at the casino (this could be done if you buy cruise cash also).
evandbob Posted February 18, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2018 Yes, you can. Redeem them against your S&S acct at either Guest Services or a workable kiosk. Whenever I've brought gift cards to redeem on board, I still had a small balance left to charge, so I never got a gift card balance back, but I've read here that is indeed what happens. Shaded Lady Posted February 18, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2018 If you decide to use them for Cruise Cash don't be overly concerned about the 'use it or lose it' statement. If you have money left over the last night of your cruise you can just cash out at the casino...
teknoge3k Posted February 18, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 18, 2018 OR you can just not worry about "cashing out" or "getting a refund". Attach a credit card to your account, run up a bill then the last day pay your bill off with your gift cards. So easy a caveman can do it.
