Rare Peachypooh Posted March 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2018 We have had Haven cabins on an Alaska Cruise, a Panama Canal cruise, a Bermuda cruise, and a few others. I have three words to describe the Haven on all the trips. It. Was. Empty. Nobody most of the time and only a couple of times one or two kids sitting quietly in the hot tub. This was on the Jewell class ships. Just wanted to give an alternative experience to the ongoing thread below.
MizDemeanor Posted March 2, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2018 (edited) We have been in Haven also and in the summer. There were children of a variey of ages but no issues, the pool area was extremely quiet. I'll be back in Haven again soon and I am very much looking forward to it. Rare BirdTravels Posted March 2, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2018 While there are always families in the Haven, there have never been a problem.
knots4crewzing Posted March 2, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2018 Seeing as this will be our first and very expensive cruise in the Haven. I was very concerned about that previous post. I for one cannot tolerate unruly kids running a mock While their parents sit idly watching their little darlings take over the hot tubs and pool. Screaming and yelling:p And absolutely oblivious! So thank you for a positive post in that respect. Liz:)

dexddd Posted March 2, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 2, 2018 Gem Haven was actually very quiet as well when we've been on. We also had a large balcony so we didn't use the upper area outside on the port side for Haven guests. Our BA during spring break there weren't any unruly kids or loud adults. YMMV as per reports. Jewel class Havens are so much smaller though although the pools aren't much larger on the big ships.
knots4crewzing Posted March 2, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 2, 2018 You're welcome. We have never had a problem and hope your trip is wonderful and relaxing. Thank You:) Im sure it will be a wonderful experience. I know we are going in the height of the summer and there will be kids. As long as they're behaved i have no problem with them enjoying themselves. But maybe the kids pool area might be more fun;p Liz:)

We'll be on the escape and was hoping for a little more quiet than what we experienced on the Breakaway last summer on the main pool deck. it was crazy. How NCL designed a ship of that size with one pool  is beyond me. So going in expecting the worst but hoping for the best LOL;p

How NCL designed a ship of that size with one pool  is beyond me. Breakaway and Escape have the same number of public pools. Breakaway - 1 pool for all ages/1 pool for adults (deck 15) Escape - 1 pool for all ages/1 pool for adults (deck 16)
