Casino Royale New Tier Program

Recommended Posts

Assuming you keep at least Prime status, you will be eligible for another free cruise starting 4/1/19 and it must be taken before 3/31/20.

Thank you, I know it used to be that your free cruise (using a certificate) had to be a new booking but now it looks like you can covert an existing booking to become your free cruise? For example I could go ahead and book a NE/Canada Cruise for Sept 2019 and convert it to my free cruise as of April 2019.

I think so too. We had already booked a Symphony of the Seas cruise onboard for March 2019 and after the new program is rolled out, I called them and they made that cruise free. But I think the free cruise is only up to 8 nights, as long as this cruise you are looking at is within that and it is not over a major holiday, then it should be fine.

I just want to share my very pleasant experience with Club Royale yesterday. I am signature and my husband is prime. I used my tier reward for a February cruise with my daughter and grandchildren. I still had my husbands inside reward. I called and inquired about a 6 night Adventure of the Seas sailing in March. I wanted to find out the cost of upgrading to at least a junior suite. The agent was very nice and said, yes we could upgrade, but let her play with the numbers based on our last cruise this April. She put me on hold for a few minutes. She came back and said it would be better to forgo his reward because based on our play we could have a comped junior suite on this sailing and just pay port charges and taxes of $115.40 each. I said great let's do it. Then she said do you want me to see what it would cost to upgrade to Grand suite. I said sure, but didn't think I would spend the money on this ship. She put me on hold and when she came back she said the upgrade would be $200.00 each for the Grand suite. I immediately took it. Maybe they are starting to listen to all of our complaints!!!

I believe rewards are not only based on how much you play but also on available cruise inventory. On ships that are not completely booked, why not offer Club Royale members empty cabins. They will no doubt gamble and purchase other items such as shore excursions, gifts etc. Just makes good business sense. Everybody "Wins"

No. They are not allowing any holiday sailings (which is from a different list that Royal) labor day, thanksgiving, 4th of July, Easter, ETC.

But other than that they give you any sailing as long as there are cabins available in your category. We sailed on the Harmony 07/07/18. The prices were quite high. About $3100 for an inside But their policy was any 8 night or less cruise in the lowest available interior cabin (we are Prime tier). We were then able to upgrade to a WS guarantee for only $700. Which turned into a GS.

For people that cruise a lot this new system is a winner.

From what I have been told (and who knows if this will be) once you hit a status level you stay that status level and don't downgrade you.

I haven't been on this thread for a while so if something changed please let me know.

You have to re-qualify every year. This year the dates are from Jan 1, 2018 till March 31, 2019 (15 months) . The next year and all following years are from April 1 to March 31 (12 months).

You keep your tier status for the year. No matter if you play or not

Yep just made a call to the Casino Line...typical Royal Caribbean...yes you lose your benefits but you keep your prime title. Stupidity.

Agree.... What is the point of having a "Title" if there are not any benefits to go with it.

The last time I spoke to CR, they told me the qualifying dates for the next program year was changed again to April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019. January 1, 2018-March 31, 2018 was included in the benefits for this year. I was wondering how I made Signature. I thought that I would have been at a high level Prime, but adding my cruises from January 2018 - March 2018 explains my higher tier.
