Casino Royale New Tier Program

Recommended Posts

Ok...so I'm totally confused....here is the situation:

We were on the Freedom in January 2018. I received $750 certificate and my husband received $200 certificate. I was also given a list of cruises that would be free...none fit with the dates we wanted. So, we used the certificates to get the $950 off of our Gradeur cruise to be taken in December 2018 (Grand Suite - first timers:D)

I called Casino Royale and was informed that I would be a Prime Member in December (I didn't receive an email). My Husband called and he is Signature (the lowest tier)...he is not a happy camper.

I see where you all are booking cruises, based on what? I'm not understanding what I get as a Prime member, other than the free drinks in he casino and the waived fee for cash. HELP??????

If your husband is signature, that is the 3rd tier which comes with the sticker, free internet and a comp'd balcony cruise of 8 nights or less any time between now and March 31, 2019 excluding holiday sailings. Your tier is the 2nd tier which comes with the sticker, 30% off an internet package and a comp'd inside cruise of 8 nights of less etc. The tiers are from the lowest to highest ... choice, prime, signature and masters. Not everyone received emails from CR. I didn't get one either and I am signature. Congrats on your CR status!!

Signature is not lowest tier. Choice is. Call Club Royal and ask (politely insist) for an email from them verifying your tier level and your husband’s tier level and the benefits that go with each.

I misspoke...he is Choice...I am Prime...so we get the Cruise now? Is there a list to choose from? When do we have to book and when do we have to sail?

You can book now. There is no list for the comp'd cruise. Any 8 nights or less on any ship before March 31, 2019. Somewhere there is a chart showing the benefits for each level. Your status of 'prime' is good for all sailings between now and March 31, 2019 which means you will get the sticker when you sail in December and also on your free cruise.

Good luck with that. I called was told I would receive the email in a few days. A 'few days' have come and gone many times. Glad I am not holding my breath. I did have the opportunity to enjoy the perks of signature status during the pilot roll out. I was on the Grandeur for 4 consecutive cruises starting April 5th of this year and received my status of 'signature', the VIP sticker, and free surf and stream VOOM for all 4 cruises. Needless to say, I did not know any of this prior to boarding the ship and nobody at CR could tell me if the program was starting on April 1st. Grandeur's casino does not open until Day 2 of the cruise but they were handing out the stickers and giving us our tier and internet codes (if applicable) right after muster. I did not get a letter about my status until the 2nd cruise.

I was given my status perks on my two April cruises. This was before people who answer the phones at CR were provided the information. I also was told in May after several calls an email would be going out early June. Never received it. Yesterday I called and politely asked for the email to be sent to me while I waited on the phone. And CR rep did email it to me while I was on fhe phone with her. She did inform me that many did not receive the initial emails and that names were put on a list of those who did not receive. But being on a list does no good. I have learned I have to be pro active. sigh.

Good to know. I am going to call again. Maybe they will email me while I wait.

If you didn't receive the points to qualify you for the Prime tier until January 2018, according to what I was told, you wouldn't qualify for a free cruise until April 2019.

This is where all the confusing information is - no one is sure what the qualifying dates are for the tiers. We keep getting different information.

I was told on many occasions that the points earned from July 1, 2016 - December 31,2017 would qualify you for April 1, 2018- March 31, 2019 tier. The points you earn from January 1, 2018-March 31, 2019 would qualify you for the next years tier from April 1, 2019- March 31, 2020.

I am sorry, I am leaving on a plane in just a little while so haven't had the time to read this whole thread, so if my questions have been asked before, I apologize. How do I accumulate points in the casino? Do I need to sign up for a player's card? Do you still register with a casino host if you are an Mlife member, pearl or higher? Thank you for any help.

Just put your cruise card in the machine as you play.

You use your sea pass card in the casino. Insert into the slot machine before playing or your sea pass card will be swiped at the table by the dealer. If you are a Mlife member, your points on the ship are not transferrable. Which means, if you have not been on a cruise within the last year or so to accumulate any points, you start with 0 points on the ship. Let the casino host know you are a Mlife member and they will tell you how many points you need to accumulate on the ship to qualify for the VIP sticker which gives you free drinks while playing and a waiver for the 5% convenience fee if you request money on your sea pass account from the casino. Ask the casino host for the chart showing the Club Royale (CR) tiers and the benefits for each level -- Choice (1 - 2499 points), Prime (2500 - 24,999 points), Signature (25,000 - 99,999 points), Masters (over 100,000 points). Points are accumulated on RC cruises throughout the year (Apr 1 - Mar 31) to determine your tier for the next year. So if you cruise and gamble a lot, you can rack up the points. I am not sure if CR points are recognized for perks thru Mlife. I have heard that you can earn comp'd cruises on RC as a Mlife member and the points earned thru Mlife. Have fun on your cruise and good luck in the casino.

That is what I recalled. BUT...yesterday I was told that the January 1 2018 -March 31 2018 points went towards the current 2018-2019 tier. Then any points earned from April 1 2018-March 31, 2019 will go toward the 2019-2020 tier. I have no idea what is going on. I had 3 cruises in January 2018 and want to know where the points will be counted. M

Me too, I had 4 cruises between January 2018 and March 2018, with almost 10,000 points, which I hope don't get lost in the shuffle.

Well not lost but the points may applied to the year we are in. I suspect you expected them to count for the next year.

Perhaps one day we will get good info in writing.

Good luck

Casino newbie question here - sailed Royal 8+ times but rarely do anything but poker in the casino. My wife accumulated around 1,500 points (according to her) playing slots on our Anthem 9-night a few weeks ago. Should we have asked for a discount certificate on board and are now SOL, will they mail/email it to us, do we just need to call, etc?

Thanks!

The certificate should have been sent to your cabin if earned. I would definitely call Club Royale as they have a record of any earned.

Will do, thank you! In the future, what should we do to make sure play is recorded properly? She did use her Seapass card when playing the machines.

Use your seapass card in the slots and hand your seapass card to the dealer at the table. If you have not received your earned certificate by the last day, see the casino host.

In the machines you have to check to make sure your card is registering. I sometimes have to reinsert the card many times till it registers.

If you play before it registers no points.

Very interesting since even Michael Bayley’s Office as well as a Casino Royale Supervisor told me there was no way to email me with my status.
