Casino Royale New Tier Program

Recommended Posts

I’m on Anthem now. Slots were fair the first two days but since then have been VERY tight. Multiple conversations with other gamers and I’ve heard the same from them. That said I boarded as a “prime” member of the casino program. Got up to 1800 points playing slots before deciding to stop ad they’re too tight. What happens, if anything, at this level of play?

There is a chart by the money cage showing the points and awards. You need 2400 points for a free inside cabin from the list or $500 off another cruise which all has to be booked within 30 days of the issue date on the certificate. You can request a list of comp'd cruises for the 2400 level from the casino host. In addition to the certificate awards, don't forget to cash in your points for either additional play or OBC before the end of the last night.

I agree. I don’t care if I’ve already read everything in the email here, I still want the email.

And if there’s nothing specific in the email, why is it so hard to send duplicates? Makes no sense to me.

There is no sense to any of this. Don't feel left out. There are many of us who did not receive 'the email' and we are signature. I did receive 'the form letter' in my stateroom on my last cruise in April and May congratulating me on signature level with the chart on the back side. I also was given an internet code for free surf and stream on a small card.

An email was sent to my husband with my email address (we do use the same email address) welcoming him to 'choice' level which he attained because I put $20 in a machine for him to play. If you would like a copy of that email, which will give you the same information other than your tier level, I will be happy to forward to you!!!

Maybe someone can help me understand

On my last cruise the casino host came over and gave me a VIP sticker to put on my card and was able to have free drinks in the casino and could withdraw money with out paying for the percentage rate.

I was also told on my next cruise I was to go see the casino hostess and tell her that I am VIP and would get the same perks. Do you think this is correct?

Also I booked a cruise through casino royal and got a $750 discount.

I don't know much about any of this, but would love the free casino drinks

I just booked my free Signature balcony cruise on Anthem, making my 3/3/18 cruise a B2B with 3/15/18. The free cruise included an Obstructive Balcony cabin. I wanted to upgrade it to a 2D. It cost $145 extra to upgrade, even though the difference on the website is only $60. Still a good deal for a 8 night cruise. What I found that didn't make any sense to me was the insurance. The insurance cost is based on the actual price of the cruise before the certificate value is taken off, which in my case was $1529, but if I had to cancel I would only be reimbursed what I actually paid $145 and lose the value of the certificate. Insurance for $145 is only $29 for $1529 $89. If you are paying insurance for the actual price that's what you should be reimbursed for. ($145 plus a credit for the difference from the casino to use on another cruise)

If you had over 1500 points on your cruise, which I assume you did, if you got a sticker, you will also be entitled to free drinks in the casino on your next cruise.

A dear friend received her email....she is "Prime". I didn't receive anything, so I called. They said that I had opted out of Marketing Materials (I don't remember that, but anyhoo)....she informed me that I was "Prime". When my Husband called he was "Choice"....he is not happy about that.

I spoke with the Club Royale number, and this is what I was told:

You get 1 point for each $5 you wager at the slots.

For craps, you get 1 point for every 10 minutes that you play for each $5 you wager.

With that being said, I got nowhere near that many points on my last cruise. According to the cruise line, I wagered for just under 23 hours on a 7 day cruise. I got 684 points. If you do the math, all I got credit for was an average bet just of just over $6. The problem? The table minimum at one table was $10, and I played the $25 table for two nights, so you tell me how they are doing it.

I called the other day and was told that the 18 month range was for the soft rollout, however for the hard rollout they are only calculating 12 months April 1, 2017 - March 31, 2018.

I received a disappointing response to my inquiry today and they confirmed your statement....initial roll out looked back April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018. Like others, I was told 18 months multiple times.....I am certain the decision to only look back 12 months was for the benefit of Club Royale/Royal Caribbean, not the members.

I just received proof that when you call the casino to book a cruise you aren't talking with anyone from Casino Royale. You are talking with someone from direct sales. I called the casino number few days ago to book my Signature comped cruise and spoke to Danielle. Today I received this email from Royal. (not the casino) No wonder they have no idea what going on with casino points, certificates or tiers.

At Royal Caribbean International, your opinion about the experience you have with our Service associates is a key component of our commitment to continuous improvement. As such, I invite you to take a short survey regarding your most recent interaction with Danielle from our Direct Sales team. In addition, we would appreciate any feedback you have on Royal Caribbean. We value your feedback and appreciate your comments.

That is how the survey verbiage has always been worded. I have called and spoke to two different Danielle's at Club Royale and they have always been great.

Yes the Danielle that I spoke to was very good, but I just found it weird that they called them direct sales, I would have thought that they would have casino somewhere in their title. I have spoken to others at the casino number that didn't have a clue about the 150% solo rate, and had to call back sometimes 3 times to get someone that did.

I had also spoken to a girl by the name of Cindy that was excellent. She didn't have a clue about the 150% solo rate, but took her time to find out. When the call was over, she actually thanked my because she learned something new.

Hi all very frustrated at the moment called casino for prices on Baltic cruise and they are more expensive

thank booking online through Royal. Also why are prices dearer on the Royal site after I log in as a crown and anchor member

I am using the Australia web site as I am from New Zealand.

It just does not seem to make sence

I am also trying to work out how I will use my free 8 night cruise as prime tier level VIP June 2020 after the Baltic cruise.

With the qualifying date being 1st of April ,will I have to cruise again between these dates to qualify

To add more frustration to this rollout, i received an email today from Donna with casino operations. She states they used a 24 month look back, not the 18 months many of us were originally told and not the 12 months i was told when i originally questioned my point tally and Prime status.

For me, there was no significant difference between my 18 and 24 month total due to when i cruises. My original claim to RC was i thought i would be on the border between prime and signature, not at 13k points (mid prime). After their audit, 24,807 points, 193 points shy. And that’s with a cruise on Enchantment where i know they erred on my tracking.

I was also told 24 month look back by a host, and 18 month look back by another host. I can't believe that there is not an official document issued to anyone involved with hosting or booking cruises with the casino, so everyone has the exact same information. Even booking a cruise I've been told three different amounts, by three different reps, when I call Casino Royale.

On Oasis, Laura's prime status did not show on her seapass today. There was a letter in cabin staring they were piloting the new tiers, but no matrix showing the differences.

Hope to find host tonight

Still a mess. First my category did not seem correct, so I called and it was indeed incorrect. I called last week because I am cruising this Friday and while I have no corrected letter, they tell me the correct category is on my profile. They tell me to book my complimentary cruise but I have no info regarding that - no letter, email etc.

So now I decided to actually keep track of points from now in. Casino Royal tells me they can't give me my accumulated points to date, only the last sailing. That is OK as I can estimate the 3 Jan cruises by the certificates I received. Then they tell me there is no record of any play on my most recent cruise. I have a certificate for $400 off ( That I recently redeemed ) so I know that I must have reached at least 800 points.( but I thought is was in the 1000 range) NO RECORD of any play. Again I say "I have a certificate so there must be some record of it." Agent was to investigate it and get back to me Monday. I am sailing again on Friday and if they can only tell me the last cruise points I really want those points recorded before the next cruise.

I feel bad for the agents, but the roll out has been in the works for over a year. Amazing that it is still such a mess.

You gave a lot of variables, but assuming $100 avg wager, 4 hrs a night for 14 nights.....1 pt = $5 avg wager for 10 mins.

You would earn approx 20 pts/period times 6 periods/hr times 4 hrs/night times 14 nights = 6720 points

If I remember correctly, a $400 certificate = 1,600 points.

That is correct. On my last cruise I requested a printout of my points earned on that sailing and the hostess gladly gave it to me. I also took photos of the final points showing on a slot machine the previous two cruises for my records. I am keeping track.
