Anthem BOGO Dining

Recommended Posts

Are any restaurants excluded like there are with FNDR on Oasis-class? Restrictions and T&C don't say, but they don't on Oasis-class either lol.

We did the BOGO on Anthem in November, picked our desired time when we purchased it and were assigned Chops and Wonderland. We did not try to change anything since those were the restaurants we wanted to go to. It was a great deal when we purchased it ($30pp total) since the restaurants were $42 and $49pp.

You're welcome. We have enjoyed the specialty dining restaurants on Anthem. Jamie's is our favorite but it was great to try Wonderland and to give Chops another try, we had given up on Chops after many so so meals on other ships. Anthem did a great job and we would go to either again.

I haven't had the best experience on Oasis/Allure w/ Chops, but given the value we're leaning towards Wonderland & Chops and just booking Jamie's separately. Wonderland and Jamie's are must-trys for us this trip, though. Our first Quantum-class.

You should be able to get Jamie's 30% off on the ship. It gets mixed reviews but we have been very happy with almost everything we have tried there. The only thing we didn't like was a Caprese Risotto that reminded us of rice floating in Campbells Tomato soup.:D

Anthem is a very different ship compared to others in the fleet but we have grown to like it. There is a section on the cruise compass that lists the music going on during each night. Keep an eye on that because a lot of the leads from We Will Rock You and The Gift will perform in the Schooner Bar, The Via, Vintages and the Pub (it has a new name that escapes me). The lead guitarist, Joyce Kuo, does an acoustical session that is excellent. Not sure if she is still on the ship or if she is on vacation right now, but she is worth checking out.

We did Wonderland on the Harmony - try and find a group to go with. You get to experience more than just a couple of things. Just be up front on your likes and dislikes and you will have a wonderful time.

We were only a party of two but the waiter asked us if we would let him decide on our choices. We told him he could and he said he would bring us a thirteen course meal. We had 7 appetizers, 3 entrees and 3 desserts. Way too much food, but a great experience.

Agree. It is a wonderful experience. But I do not eat a lot. I thought it was fun.

For a new cruiser, please explain BOGO, and all other ship jargon.

VOTS, 29/8/18

BOGO means Buy One Get One Free. In this context, It's a way of paying for one dinner and getting two.

On Our Jan. 28th Anthem cruise, Jamie's was running a special of $15.99 for lunch and a 2 course dinner , on sea days only, of $19.99. Our waiter told us everything on the menu with the special. So if you by-pass dessert, you save $15 per.

We bought the Bogo on Anthem. Is it possible to change the restaurants they assign to you?

Yes, pending available space. Go to a specialty restaurant as soon as you board.
