Shaded Lady Posted March 25, 2018 Author #51 Share Posted March 25, 2018 Daughter left her new glasses in the pouch on the plane in FLL. We immediately went to customer relations. Long story short, we got them back at the end of the cruise, they were found in Houston. Good to hear! I've never heard of anyone getting anything back that's left on an airplane, good to know it does happen occasionally!
jlp20 Posted March 26, 2018 #52 Share Posted March 26, 2018 I'm sure you've all seen threads about "LISTS", this is what their talking about. From the obscure to the false teeth in your mouth, everything goes down on the paper. While you an get most small item on the ship, I can't see paying $7 for two Tylenol. rccampbell Posted March 26, 2018 #53 Share Posted March 26, 2018 A black card with serious credit limit for medical bills! I only brought my debit card but fortunately the DH threw in a card that would hold my $25k in medical bills. ServicedWe're charged first then rendered. Same at the local hospital for emergency surgery. Left wondering what would they have done if we couldn't pay up front??? This was NCL btw. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Interesting, I had not thought of having that high of a limit credit card for our trips. Especially if you have insurance. Is this a normal requirement? In today's heavy debt world, how many people have that much available on their cards and is there a good number to have available?
SRF Posted March 26, 2018 #54 Share Posted March 26, 2018 I avoid these issues with a couple of methods. 1) I travel enough, that for basic things, I keep one set in the suitcase, another for home. Shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, deodorant, shaving cream, razor, etc. 2) Some things, I also have extra, and leave them packed. Like at least one swim suit and tank top, flip-flops, even some underwear and socks. Even my travel work dress shirts, I leave packed. The only change is sleeve length based on how hot my destination will be. 3) When I pack, I put things INTO the suitcase. Not next to it, or near it, IN it. 4) I don't use a written checklist. But I do a mental rundown when I think I am done. To do this, I mentally dress myself. So I think, underpants, t-shirt, socks, pants, shirts, belt, shoes, ties (for work), jacket, etc. I also mentally go over any specific activities, and what I need for them. And finally, I don't sweat it. You can get something most places. :D But that said, I did recently make a trip to Hawaii, and left my nice Canon D30 underwater camera on the dining room table. So no water pictures, used the cell phone for pictures. :D
badaple92 Posted March 26, 2018 #55 Share Posted March 26, 2018 We drive to the ship. About an hour way. Half way there DH goes in his pocket to make sure his cash was safely tucked away only to find he changed his shorts and left the money in the ones he changed. Turn around to get it and couldn't find it. Running late so he has to get some from his stash. Get on the ship and you guesses it. Different pocket. Had a lot of money for the casino.
