Hotstreak Offer(OV comp and $200 Funplay) VS Dealers choice (Interior Comp and $200 Fun play)

Besides the obvious room comp which should we choose

Dealer's Choice normally comes with the Drinks on Us (in casino), I am not familiar with the Hotstreak offer does it have the same?  Also do both also offer OBC in addition to Fun Play?  We have had offers where one may have included OBC but another offer did not.

It’s  strange.

We left Carnival about 3 yyears ago after 20 cruises. Nothing against Carnival but just wanted to try different lines. Anyway I got a flyer in the mail so I called and got some casino offer for Balcony cabin on the Horizon 6 day for $999. Plus &500 OBC.   So I’m actually paying $500 for   a balcony on on a 6 day cruise.  I never got that good of a deal when we sailed and gambled regularly

Several cruisers on an Ultra cruise told us to get better offers you sometimes have to walk away for awhile! Gives them an incentive to try to get you back!

How do you send your offers to this urcomp place? I just came off a 6 nt. Conquest sailing, spent PLENTY of time in the casino and didn't get offered anything. The pit bosses and hosts were very tight 😞  They did buy me a few drinks in the casino, but no DOU card. I made friends with a guy who was playing nothing but green and he didn't get a card until the 4th day of the cruise, despite getting beat up by the tables to the tune of 3-4k  (I personally saw his account summary when we were discussing losses)  :(  Might be time to look for a new cruise line to lose my money on.

You go to their site and upload your offers from your computer!

To save them on your computer you need a printer/scanner, scan them into your computer, at least that's what my wife did for us!

You don’t need a computer, printer, or scanner.  You can just take a photo of your offer with your phone or iPad.

Can you tell us what kind of offers you received before you walked away in 2017? Were you a big gambler?

Can you explain the way you used your phone to submit to urcomp, i'm not that informed in phones/cameras etc. Thanks!

I would receive some casino cash and discounted cabins.  I mainly play .25 video poker and my casino budget is usually around 800.00 for 7 days.  I don't walk off of the ship with any gambling money left and I did not hit any jackpots.  I have not heard of urcomp until yesterday, so I have not had a chance to use them yet.  I am a gambler, as any money that I win goes right back to the casino (unless I hit a big jackpot, which has not happened yet).

Yes, their plan did work because I was not planning on booking another cruise until 2020.  But the deal was too good to pass up.  They offered me an Elite deal with a free balcony.  They might still come ahead since I will be bringing more money for me to gamble with, it is a toss up since the free drinks anywhere will be included.

We just booked a cruise in October on the Magic under Premier. We actually had a different one booked but switched because this offered more. We each have $500 funplay, $500 off rates and Free Drinks while in the casino. I've never seen the free drinks anywhere offered, that would be nice. However we usually hit free drinks in the casino so never purchase them. If we want drinks while walking around we just pop in the casino and flag a server down and get a drink and walk out.

The only downside is as we were booking they sold out of Ocean View. We've never sailed without a porthole or something but overall we're saving $800 more on the other cruise we booked. I'll admit I'm nervous about no window or porthole but I'm always told you don't really feel a difference but going to miss the sun.

While I don't prefer insides, some of the best sleep we've had on a cruise (and latest sleep) has been in an inside room.  No way for the sun to peek in!  However, if you do like that sort of thing, you can leave the TV on the Bow cam to get the sunrise that way!  Enjoy!

My son and daughter in law booked a cruise under the Hot Streak Bonus which included DOU. After the booking she contacted the Players Club to see if she was also getting the DOU -

this was their response —

“The DOU is only intended for the targeted guest so you will need to qualify once onboard. Guests now need to re-qualify once onboard their voyage Or the Guest now has to be booked with an offer that has the amenity already included.”

Greetings all ,

has anyone tried to submit a shareholder benefit request while cruising under a casino rate?

I have numerous times. Including times where I was on a full comp.

Only wants to Carnaval deny my request.

Sorry I’m confused .. did you mean only once they refused ?

Carnival didn’t give me OBC as a shareholder one time.   They refused it.  But I guess I wasn’t surprise because I was going on an elite cruise.

Just booked the Hot Streak promotion which included the 500 OBC and DOU while in the casino.  2 questions:

1. Can I use my OBC before the cruise to purchase anything on Carnivals website?  Some cruise lines let you use their OBC to purchase items before the cruise.

2. The promotion on Carnival's booking site clearly states DOU while in the casino, but now that I have my confirmation I'm not seeing it anywhere?  any help with this for those that have had the same or similar offers in the past would be helpful.
