Just booked the Hot Streak promotion which included the 500 OBC and DOU while in the casino.  2 questions:

1. Can I use my OBC before the cruise to purchase anything on Carnivals website?  Some cruise lines let you use their OBC to purchase items before the cruise.

2. The promotion on Carnival's booking site clearly states DOU while in the casino, but now that I have my confirmation I'm not seeing it anywhere?  any help with this for those that have had the same or similar offers in the past would be helpful.

I don't think you can spend OBC until you are onboard.

We booked a Premier cruise for next Feb. and also could not find anything on confirmation about it so I emailed the casino dept. and they sent me an email about all that  we would receive. I printed it out just incase.

You definitely can't spend OBC until you are OB.

Carnival conveniently does not mention the DOU on your reservation.  And one thing to remember that if you are departing out

of Galveston, TX, the DOU starts the day after departure.

Thank you,  and yes we have departed many times out of Galveston so very familiar with the Texas laws.  With the 500 obc the first day of us paying for drinks will not be a problem, not to mention the TA gave us another $275 so that almost covers the tips for the 3 of us for our 7 days.  Was just looking to prebook some meals but will wait until we board and hope the days and times are not full.

By "Prebook Meals" do you mean make a reservation int he steakhouse?  if so, you can do that without pre-paying.

We've been an several cruises that included DOU, and it has never been on our cruise documents (neither has the free fun play), only OBC has shown up beforehand.    Also, if your DOU cards are not in your room when you arrive be sure to seek out the casino host.

Carnival didn’t give me OBC as a shareholder one time.   They refused it.  But I guess I wasn’t surprise because I was going on an elite cruise.

I’ve also had this happen on comped cruises, but I still submit.  It’s totally hit or miss.  I just received OBC this week for an Elite cruise scheduled for next month.

I received a "we miss you" offer from the casino...free inside room, 200 obc and the drinks on us card.  Booked 7 day on the pride out of Baltimore august 11th.....

I received the same offer. I hadn't cruised Carnival in 3 years also.

Booked the 8 night Sunrise out of N.Y. Next month. I also upgraded to a Spa interior.

What a deal, couldn't pass on this one!

Question about the Premier  Cocktail Party  . . . Do they check off names as you walk in?  We are traveling with a friend and want to go to the cocktail party and were hoping he could just come along with us.

We've been to quite a few of the casino party's and never been checked!

I've even seen red/blue cards at Plat/White card parties! Likely a guest!

You both got great deals, and happy for you, but sad for the rest of us who cruise a lot, and seem not to be taken as good care of!

Save your offer, and bring it with you, but you shouldn't have any problem getting your drink free card.

As for the credit, never seen them allow you to use it until on board!

Don't miss out on the tournament for slots.  I did a Gateway and only 7 people come to the tourney.  Top six were in a spin off and the prizes ranged from $500 to $50.  One cruiser told me she just did not want to get up at 10 am to go.  I won $150 which helped with my loses.  As for DUI, we walked into the casino asked for drinks without playing and got them to go to dinner.

Just a heads up, Carnival keeps your casino play on file for a VERY long time.  I last cruised with Carnival in 2013 -- I'm going on a one week HAL cruise on the Nieuw Statendam in December 2019 and decided it would be nice to extend the vacation a little.

I didn't want to spend a lot more so I was looking at 3 and 4 day cruises with Carnival, RCCL and Norwegian.  Found a 4 day cruise on the Carnival Victory and low and behold I was eligible for Casino rates -- Hot Streak Bonus offer.  Comes with $500 USD on board credit.  The cruise itself only cost $974 Canadian for an inside or $1250 Canadian for a balcony (total for 3 guests).

Also include Drinks On Us for booze in the casino.

It seemed like a very good deal -- I couldn't believe it at first when I read over the specifics.  Is there anything else I should know about this deal?  Ironically I barely gamble anymore so I suspect this will be the last time I get offered a crazy casino deal like this.

Just posting as I haven't sailed with Carnival in 6 years and they were still offering casino rate.  I did do a Princess cruise in 2016 so maybe that kept my casino info active?

Don't know how important that $500. casino credit is for you, but $1000. for a 4 day inside sounds expensive!

No Galveston, too far away for us, we got 2 Ultras on the Conquest out of Miami in Oct. scheduled!

The $500. off seems like a put on, I've checked some other cruise sites, and they gave out a price that just about matched Carnivals, the only thing different was the Casino Credit you got with Carnival.

I got casino cash on my first HAL sailing because I'd spent time in the casino on Carnival.  I was surprised.  Four+ years went by and I received a mailing from HAL with casino rates that were deeply discounted.  I did 11 nights on Zuiderdam (partial Panama Canal) in an inside for <$600 plus taxes/fees.  Only catch was that it was the only time I was denied a CCL SH credit.  Sailed HAL again almost 2 years ago (with NCL, a couple of MSCs and a couple more Carnival since then) and just recently got a HAL mailing for a free inside!  Unfortunately, I just couldn't make the timing work, and, of course, by the time I logged on to check them out, the free cabins were gone.

Anyway, it appears that the casino perks extend to all of Carnival Corp's lines.  I'd like to try Princess, but they're too expensive for me, but if I had a casino offer, than might make enough of a difference to get me on one of their ships.

for 3, agreed, thought it was for 2.

Yeah for 3.  Although the baby will only be 18 months around then.

I did end up upgrading to a balcony... Came out to 1250 CAD (945 USD).

The thing is we have a second 7 night cruise the week after on Nieuw Statendam... I booked this 4 day one to extend our vacation or seemed really cheap for 3 especially with the 500 USD on board credit.

Does anyone know if I book a cruise (for 2021) under the early saver rate then IF this cruise falls under a casino offer later can I switch the booking to the casino offer?

I have been able to in the past under the following conditions

(1) the room I had already booked was in the same category (inside) as the room that the casino offer was for

 - AND -

(2) There was still availability to book that particular cruise under the offer code for the casino offer,
