Hi Babyeddiedog......we were on the February 17th YC sailing on the Seaside. We had a pianist and a violin player.......nice dance floor but couldn't dance at all to their music. Quite a disappointment. Sounds like you had a wonderful experience in the Top Sail Lounge.......

Thank you for your response.

If you're going soon you'll be very pleased to know that the Top Sail Lounge does have a dance floor and a great pianist Edo, he saved our cruise when it came to dancing! His sets run from from waltzes and quicksteps to Dire Straits, Eric Clapton and even Robbie Williams. He really is a very talented man; he sings very well too.

After discovering the main lounge on deck 6 wasn't for us we spent every night in the YC lounge and it was brilliant. We danced all night after dinner and didn't go to bed until about 1:30am. There were some other couples who got up and danced too, it was certainly big enough for us all, even when we did mad disco moves :')

:')I know the ones you mean. If you had gone back later (after 11pm onwards) you would probably have had a much better experience, well, you'd have been entertained by some wild dancing anyway!

Hi Babyeddiedog.......Top Sail Lounge was our "go to place" before dinner, before bed and in between....lol.........we normally sat there with my sister and her husband until they started taking the bottles off the shelves. We enjoyed the TSL so very much......but not one time, no matter what time of the day or night, could we dance to any of the music..... My sister said on the Divina last year that people danced in the TSL so I was hopeful :) unfortunately that didn't happen on the February 17th sailing on Seaside. Never saw one single person dance in that lounge the whole week. Didn't ruin our cruise of course but truly was disappointed.

GOS .... maybe you and Babyeddiedog should book YC for Oct 2019 - we could liven the TSL up a bit! I bet I could throw a few shapes even better than BabyED! :D

Yeah .... I thought I could tempt you to upgrade, Laura :D

If my experiences of the TSL are anything to go by, even I won't be' sneaking a peak' in the evenings. We spend our evenings around the rest of the ship after an early dinner - music, show, music/casino. Maybe we go in for a nightcap before retiring - which is usually when we're thrown out of the last bar to close "downstairs". ;p

  • 11 months later...

Hi Everyone.........we are now booked in Fantastica experience.  Looking forward to our October 2019 cruise.  Just started to research AGAIN lounges to dance in.......is there a band or DJ in the ATTIC or SKY LOUNGE?  Do either of these lounges have a dance floor.

Thanks,

Laura
